The ABC Homeopathy Forum

Please Help Me!

Every time I eat I am in agony. And after I'm done eating.

I am hoping that someone can read my story and finally find the right remedy, so I can be free of this Freaking disease.

I am going to summarize the case and provide all the details below.

This is killing me since it had ruined my eating, my appetite, my health, everything.

I have become pretty skinny, I would say unhealthy skinny and I HATE being skinny in the first place. It's one thing to be thin and a normal weight, but I hate what I am now. I am skinnier than I have ever been in my life, before this damn disease started.

Ok, I am going to summarize the most important things and provide details below. I dont even know where to start and I am so frustrated.

Recently: I was looking at pictures from years ago, or even from a long time ago during my teenage years, and it was sad that I used to look normal. I mean my weight and actually a pretty good size, with a strong, and much bigger upper body and overall. I looked at what I was now, especially before taking a shower, and how thin my back was. Like a skeleton you could see all the bones, and weak looking. Everything overall is too skinny, legs, thighs, etc.

The one pic I was looking at, where I was the biggest, was about 5 years ago, when I was around 23.

I don't even know what to call this disease or if it even has a name. It's so stupid and doesn't make sense. All signs seem to point to my body being too acidic and that these are the problems related to reflux.

Symptoms: I am not sure when the disease really started, but the worst symptom was a problem with swallowing food. When this started, it would seem like the only thing that could cause a swallowing problem, would be some kind of reflux damaging the esophagus. BUT I did not feel ANY REFLUX OR ANYTHING ELSE COME UP during this time. AND Nothing like this happened before the swallowing issue began that would suggest that my esophagus is getting damaged. No warning, nothing.

How the heck is this possible? Did I give myself a swallowing problem? Is that even possible? I mean, a swallowing problem that would occur every day, even when I was thinking positive?

When this happened and I didnt know what was going on, neither could any MD doctor that I went to see, and I wish I didnt go to them, I lost a lot of weight. I was afraid to eat.

Turns out that my diet and what I chose to eat, would make this eventually go away. Took a while though and gradually got better.

Now, even though the swallowing is not an issue anymore, I figured that I should still mention it because it is still a part of this disease and related. For example, if I were to not be so restricted with my diet like I am now, it would start happening again.

Next symptom, I can only describe this as nauseated or acidic burps. It is not always acidic, sometimes it can be and can be worse depending on what I eat. But I get this everyday, especially while eating. It's just an unpleasant, acidic like burp. It's almost like a little bit of vomit up my throat or probably more accurate to say the esophagus. Sometimes, it can feel like liquid food coming up. But it doesnt make it up high like into the mouth or out. It feels like it goes back down, whether anything is actually coming up I am not sure. Because a burp involves like air coming up and this would be an acidic burp, so the air feels acidic. Again, I guess its depending on what I eat that makes for these variances.

So, this happens a lot while eating, I cannot eat like normal. I have to eat a little bit at a time and then take a break for 5 min. I actually look at the time and see if 5 min goes by. If I dont take a break and continue eating, it would feel like I could vomit and or choke. Like my body cant handle that much at once and I would have that burp happen again and like a lot of food would come up, making the burp even worse and more unpleasant. And possibly like I could have choked on the vomit coming up and going back down.

The thing that seems to help with these symptoms is the things that I eat. BUT I have eaten very healthy and extremely restricted the food I eat and the calories and ITS STILL NOT GONE THE DAMN PROBLEM.

IT SHOULD HAVE BY NOW. ALSO, I'm sure that this limiting of food is pretty unhealthy and I know I am not getting the amount of calories that I should be for my size. I have been eating healthy for the past 2 yrs (no soda, no beef or red meat, no tomato based sauces, no caffeinated teas, low fat foods, nothing fried, etc), and in the past couple of months have been eating a vegetarian diet and eating alkaline foods as much as possible. HOW COULD THE PROBLEM NOT GO AWAY BY NOW? And more recently eating a vegan diet.

As soon as I started eating that way, if food was really the whole problem, then the symptoms should have gone away right and I should be able to eat a normal amount? But they didnt, suggesting its something more and thats why I hope someone can find a homeopathic remedy to put an end to this thing.

Now, when I said I wasnt sure when the problem first started, I will explain that now. I think the problem first started when I was around 21 or so, which is when I had the first chronic symptom ever in my life of phlegm. Since its such a long time ago, I believe that before that, there might have even been a clearing of the throat issue, which was not a cough, I have never had a cough problem, and then it led to the phlegm gradually. I just remember clearing the throat a lot and then mucus/phlegm having to be discharged or hawked up from my throat. This would happen everyday and gradually get worse and happen more frequently.

If I had to pin point it down to something, it all happening while I was working at this new job and it was my first IT job, which is the work I do still to this day. I would say that after the first couple of months there as an Intern, I started to worry about whether I was doing a good job or not. I felt that I might not be performing well and was not intelligent enough, and could lose the opportunity and get fired and never get offered to stay permanently. This probably started all this and put me under a great deal of stress.

I remember feeling very down around this time and lost my appetite a lot. I was eating half of my food. Which is interestingly the amount I am eating now, meaning half of what I should be eating in a day. But now it is due to these symptoms, where before I didnt have any symptoms while eating. This went on for a while and I lost some weight and I was already skinny. I've always kind of been skinny, but then again my weight has fluctuated a lot over the years. I couldnt even put on a belt without my pants falling down, it was pretty bad.

This went on until I completely changed my mentality and just became positive. Then I was back to eating like normal and fast and a normal amount. But I still had the phlegm issues and throat clearing. That has never really gone away, but has subsided a lot now because of all the healthy foods compared to what I was eating before.

I finally left that job after 3 yrs. Really feel like I shouldnt have stayed that long in a toxic environment looking back. Also, I am a person who REALLY Beats myself up when I have a problem or if I make a mistake or if I feel I am not good enough. I Beat myself up and I am Hard on myself too.

My problems continued after that and got worse. I went through a long period of unemployment (a year), I got other jobs and ended up being unsteady (quiting or getting fired for various reasons, quiting because I didnt want to do this job for rest of life), started to have a lot of issues with my Parents because of all these problems and instability in my career. I could go on and talk about many different problems, not even sure what to focus on anymore. But Im sure these are the main problems and they relate.

So, then as the years went on, around the age of 25 or 26, things got really bad when the swallowing thing started happening all of a sudden. And then that kept getting worse. It was really weird and all of a sudden, like no warning before that or any indication that there was an issue with swallowing.

So, to summarize in a vary simple way, this is the order of symptoms in chronological order of when they occurred.

Throat clearing/Phlegm > Swallowing Issue > Acidic/Nauseated Burps

They all seem to take place in the throat area and or esophagus.

ANOTHER thing that really IRRITATES me, besides the fact that it has ruined my life, health, and any enjoyment of food, is that IT IS RUINING MY VOICE. AND I WANT TO BECOME A SINGER. I dont know if that is a coincidence, irony, or what, and I really wanted to become a singer in the recent years of my life. Meaning around my early 20s, 21 or 22 and later, which is around the time that I decided that I did not want to work with computers (IT) for the rest of my life and wanted to write songs and sing. Besides IRRITATING ME, IT Has caused great concern for my throat and voice.

This whole phlegm hacking up and spitting out and throat clearing is REALLY DAMAGING TO MY VOICE. Now, I can go into how stressful and nerve racking it has been to commit to singing, not giving up, singing in front of people, insecurities about my voice and abilities, anxiety, all this stuff which I am sure has contributed to this disease.

STORY CONTINUED: I would say that lately I have been a lot more positive about other aspects of my life and I have a job where I think the environment is good for me. I have been at this job for about 6 months or so now, and I do enjoy the co-workers that I work with, the environment in general, the work I do, and I am positive.

In general, I would say I am positive. At work, at home, my thoughts, about the future, etc. BUT as you know, the main thing bringing me down is this disease. It's also interesting because eating was one of the few things I used to enjoy in life. I could remember times when it was the only thing in life, besides music, that I would enjoy. And now of course its the opposite, and again, not sure if that's just a co-incidence or irony or what? I mean a lot of people enjoy food. Before I had this disease, I felt nothing else in life or not too many other things provided enjoyment besides food. There was nothing much going on, no friends, no romantic life, felt empty like what I wasn't doing with my life meant anything to me.

I looked forward to breakfast, lunch, dinner and I ate big meals too. And rapidly, especially at the beginning of the meal. Like I said, at one point in my life, I gained weight, and slowly gained weight, got more muscular and added some fat. I think it was the best I ever looked.

Once the unemployment happened, that's when things went downhill. I think I started to lose weight slowly that year. Slowly to the point where I might have not even noticed until I weighed myself, or I did and I just didn't care. I wasn't happy so I didnt eat. I tend to eat and eat a lot when I am happy and positive. Especially happy.

Again, my weight fluctuated during those yrs as well, like I would get a job, get back to normal, get motivated and eat more and start working out. Putting on muscle and weight. Then lose motivation at work and in life and that would affect my appetite.

BUT, the thing is that when the swallowing issue started,
whether I was happy, positive, motivated or not, it did NOT MATTER. It persisted. And grew worse everyday. Until I realized that this was somehow related to food and what I was eating. Most of my life, I have eaten rice and meat (not always beef, mostly chicken and beef), tomato based foods or actually tomato based sauces, fatty foods, sometimes sandwiches, a lot of cheeses, sometimes milk, hamburgers, things like that. I would almost never eat a vegetarian meal or a salad, and if I was too sick to eat or too full, I would eat a small meal, or soup, or not eat at all (meaning skip a meal) but that was very rare.

I also drank soda most of my life, black tea (caffeinated tea), never drank coffee in my life, never smoked, alcohol was extremely rare for me and only on rare, social occasions, soda with meals, tea in morning with breakfast, and water throughout the rest of the day. I eventually stopped soda and drank OJ (not fresh, so it was also unhealthy), Gatorade, Snapple.

What made the swallowing issue occur less frequently and eventually disappear, was a big change to diet. Only water for drinks, no tomatoes or tomato based anything, way less meat and usually chicken or fish, more vegetables and fruit, less fatty foods, less dairy. That would sum up the last 2 years, but the last 6 months has been vegetarian only and recently vegan only. Now, even though the swallowing problem isn't there, I still cannot eat the amount an adult should be eating, which is greatly restricting calories and my health. Also, there is the horrible nausea and acidic burp thing still happening which is preventing me from eating normally.

Physical:

I am going to talk about how I feel physically, especially related to food. For most of my life, long before this disease even started, I guess I had issues with food or eating. I was always told that I am too skinny, by all sorts of people. Family, school mates, strangers, friends, etc. Mostly family and my parents. This affected me a lot and annoyed and angered me. Growing up and around teenage years, I didnt eat much and ate very slowly. Sometimes I forced myself to eat a lot at one meal just to get bigger, even if I felt full.

Also, when I would wake up in the mornings, I have always felt weak. Even till now. And I felt like I could not DO ANYTHING until I ate something. No energy. Couldnt even talk or didnt feel like talking. Not a morning person. Ate a lot of dairy for breakfast, like bread and cheese, bread and butter, with black tea for most of my life.

During the rest of the day, it was kind of the same. Like I had a fast metabolism and would quickly get back to empty, like your empty on gas. I need to eat something and something really big and filling to re-fuel my energy. I ate big meals because of this and didn't really snack during the day, like your supposed to. I also had the symptoms like when your low on sugar or blood glucose or whatever, like when your light headed, head gets dizzy, especially when going from sitting to standing up. And feeling weak, like the slightest activity you cannot do. Sometimes not even walking straight.

When I would eat, it would be like a ravenous hunger. I would eat very quickly at first. When I am done eating, I always like to move the food out of my sight.

I have trouble sleeping for as long as I can remember. But I dont feel this while I am sleeping, I just know that when I wake up, I AM NOT REFRESHED. Even to this day, with all the bad habits that I have changed, esp my diet, I still dont sleep well. A lot of times I wake up, and the pillow cover is taken off the pillow. HOW THE HECK DOES THAT HAPPEN? How much do I toss and turn for that to happen? It's still strange how it happens. It takes me a long time to actually get up. Like 10 to 15 min to actually open my eyes and feel like getting up.

ALSO, the phlegm is WORSE in the mornings. As soon as I wake up, have to spit up some phlegm into a napkin I keep next to my bed. Then I go to the sink and let out the rest for the few minutes. Then I have some more after breakfast and after lunch. Evenings and nights, it doesnt happen as much and sometimes not at all. Its worse from morning to afternoon.

The phlegm and mucus I have been referring to this whole time, it is not the kind you get when sick like a severe cold. NOT the kind that watery and you can swallow. The phlegm I am talking about, you CANNOT SWALLOW. It will get stuck down the pit of your throat (I guess thats how you describe it, kind of hard to describe where it goes) and then I hack it out from my throat area and out. It is usually very thick, sticky, and clear color. Sometimes it doesnt come right out of my mouth, it gets to my tongue or mouth area, then I have to pull it out or force some more using air from my throat.

I am not sure what else to talk about or mention. I will elaborate on anything that anyone asks to or any clarification that is needed. Also, I will answer any other questions asked.

I am also willing to take any dose of what you prescribe, so please dont prescribe anything with 30C or less. I am going right for the 200C or more. I know how serious my problem is and I hope you do too after reading all this, so we need a strong dose to start with.

Anyway, thanks in advance to anyone willing to help.

PLEASE IF ANYONE Wants to read, go ahead and let me know that you are looking at my case. I SO APPRECIATE THIS! I am very grateful of any HELP!

Thanks

Ok, Simone and Anti-virus.

I meant to post a response to Gaintrox letting him know that I changed my mind and I want someone, who is a homeopathic dr, to look at my case. His profile doesn't look like he's a homeopathic dr. I will do that today.

As for Evocationer, no one on this forum has heard from him. He may never come back as far as we know. I definitely cannot wait for an answer any longer, so I've started a new post.

Anti-virus, if you are a homeopathic doctor with experience, let me know and I will answer so we can continue.

Thank you both.

Dear Tony-

Probably not going to work on
here for you right now. Rishimba is a homeopathic Dr. but he is waiting to see if
Evocationer returns for 2 more weeks before he takes any of his cases.

Dr. Mohla is a homeopathic Dr. however due to language he prefers
minimum descriptions.

There is a new person called Homeodr. you could ask for him.

Be aware that you cannot go look at a remedy and then think
it is not right. Potency and dose are entire courses in homeopathy,
and for very physical issues and low vitality one goes lower
in potency bc those potencies Act more on the physical, and one
can even go to the LM potencies that are given daily if needed.

People have Forms that they use to assess important matches-
it takes years to be able to assess the matches well, and there
are several ways to do this and then compare-

Once you choose a person, you must trust and let them do the work of the
assessment - you can't help in this area, except to answer questions they
ask of you.

Another person you could ask: is Dr. Fleming ( Parakletos2012 At gmail dot com)
He has not been on the forum in some time-but if he has time he will look over
peoples cases for free and suggest if you email him) He has a long standing
practice in Norway.

Thank you so much for all the information Simone.

I checked out HomeoDr's profile and it does not say whether he is an actual doctor or not. Also, it seems like he focuses on certain cases or illnesses. Doesn't seem like it applies to my case.

I will wait to see if any one else responds and will only continue with someone who is a doctor.

Hi-

I already told you the real drs ( homeopathic drs)
we have on here-

Evocationer is not a homeopathic dr. either. If you are talking about an MD. There are NO homeopathic MD's on here. There
are different degrees in different countries for homeopaths.

In India you can become a homeopathic Dr. but not an MD, and
you have to have medical training for that qualification.
In usa you can have homeopathic long distance training,
you can go to a school for that, you could be a naturopath and
say you are a homeopath but have only one course in it, ( but they are a DR.)
There are people on here who do not have formal training, but
have been around homeopathy their entire life, study it,
have a passion for it, and some of those people heal people
on here who have tried MD homeopaths, many times.

What you are looking for:

A. Homeopathic training and a degree
B. Has at least 6 years of experience
C. Read testimonials or look at cases that were cured.

I think you better do some research and find someone private
online who can help you as no one on here meets your qualifications.

simone717 8 years ago
Ok, I understand.

Then I guess I will open to suggestions from anyone on here.

I would prefer someone who has formal training and a degree in homeopathy, but it's not a must.

When it comes to those who have not had training or degree, the problem is that you cannot differentiate between those who have done it for just a while, someone who's new, or someone who has experience their whole life or most of their life.

Hopefully, someone with a lot of experience, especially someone who has seen a case like mine or similar, will respond.

I cannot go and pay any more homeopaths privately or even online like I have done before hoping that they will cure one day. I do not have money.

Thanks again.

Tony-

I have been on here everyday for almost
4 years. I know everyone on here and
they all do good work, even if they are
not a certified "homeopath", especially
those from India, bc they grew up with
homeopathy like usa people grow up with
aspirin.

It is not necessary that they have seen a
case like yours. What is necessary is that
they have good homeopathic skills in matching the correct remedy to their intake
form and follow homeopathic rules, like one
remedy at a time in a minimum dose, and
they do that.

Evocationer has his own style and he encourages people to write extensively about
everything. Other people do not use that
style. Evocationer at times likes to go for
exotic remedies and new remedies, that usually never have worked for him on an
online forum.

For you-

You need BASIC prescribing on your real
physical symptoms as a strong focus-
to get you some relief so you can calm
down and get some nutrition asap.

So I suggest, you email homeodr and give him your links.
Ask him if he can take you online here- and if he says
yes then post a thread. Homeodr is a registered homeopath,
and he has a practice.

Please try that as it is closest to what you are asking.
Once you 'decide' to follow someone, be disciplined and follow
thru or else you are going to run out of people to help you.

simone717 8 years ago
I agree with you Simone and I understand.

Thanks for all the clarifications and advice.

I am not sure who to contact now or who to proceed with. There is HomeoDr and Dr Fleming. I guess I will message both. First, I can check if Dr Fleming will take my case for free. If not, I'll contact HomeoDr.

If both are available, I guess I'll see who responds first.

Also, I will point them to the current thread. I do not want to post another one, I already have a lot posted for this same issue. And I have not started with anyone on this post.

Thanks.

Be aware that in order to get
well you have to be a good
patient.

People are donating their valuable time and most do
not want to "teach" and dialogue/convince you about
their choice of remedy or potency. They start the case
and then things are adjusted based on your reactions.

They don't have the time to do homeopathy education,
you are the patient, they are the ones with years of
experience, so if you start asking too many questions,
or if you decide you are going to try a different dose
or remedy on your own, they will ask you to find
another person, it won't work out.

I'm sure I will.

Thanks. Appreciate it.

tonybaloni33 8 years ago
I do advise that even tho
your last prescriber will be
back that you find someone who
is timely and very reliable on
monitoring you on your remedy
reactions, both of the people
mentioned don't have a problem doing that - homeodr is however
new on here, but so far very good.

simone717 8 years ago
Ok cool.

Thanks for monitoring the forum.

Your doing a good job.
