3 year and 4 months - Adenoid problem
Hello Rishimba,My Son is 3 year and 4 months old. He has nasal congestion due to which he snores while sleeping. I will be great if you could recommend some medication.
ENT doctar recommends adeniodectomy surgery which we don't want to go for. A nasal endoscope was introduced through the nares. As per report- Adenoid hypertrophy was noted and 100% choanae obstruction(which i don't understand).
I have provided some details - 1. Age, weight, height - 3 yrs 4 months, 15 kg , 3 feet 1 inch.
2. Physical appearance of the child e.g. thin, chubby, tall, short - Well appearing and well nourished.
3. Describe the nature of the child (shy, headstrong etc. give details) - Shy outside but open in home.
4. Have the growth milestones (e.g. teething, standing, walking, talking etc. )achieved early, on time or late - On time
5. What are the symptoms of the health problem - Snoring whenever he sleeps (day/night)
6. What makes the problem better without using medicines - Using steamer helps a little.
7. What makes the problem worse without using medicines - When suffering from cold/flu/runny nose
8. How is the child behaving emotionally during this problem - Cries and gets frustrated for not being able to sleep.
9. How long the problem has been there - 6 months.
10. What is the reason of the problem in mother’s view - craniosyntosis surgery was done when he was 1.5 year old.
11. How is the child’s thirst & appetite - normal
12. What does the child like to eat - mostly sweet items like biscuit/chocolates.
13. What does the child dislike in food - fruits & vegetables
14. Is there any strong preference of taste e.g. sweet, salty, sour, bitter - Loves sweet
15. How is the stool & urine - Normal
16. How is the child’s sleep - awakening at night & abnormal posturing during sleep, snoring and sweating a lot in night
17. What is the child afraid of (animals, insects, darkness, alone etc.) - alone
18. Where does the child sweat normally - head and back.
19. How much does the child sweat (little, moderate, a lot) - a lot
20. Any problems with nose, throat, ears, chest - none.
21. Is the child normally cold or hot - hot
22. Was it a planned pregnancy, if not, how did you feel on finding about it - yes
23. How was the pregnancy of the mother (morning sickness, bleeding, happy, sad, tense etc) - normal
24. How is the relationship of mother & father - normal
Please let me know if you have more questions. Which medication would help to avoid surgery at this early age.

1. List down all major diseases running in the past two generations on his mother's and father's side.
2. How was the pregnancy and delivery? Anything worth sharing?
3. How is the general energy level of the child? Is he very active, active, moderate, slow and dull, extremely lazy?
4. Does he like cool or warm environments in general?
5. Does he wet his pillow most of the times due to sweating? What is the smell of his sweat like?
6.What is the color of the sputum whenever there is a discharge?
7. Does he suffer the most when he is sleeping anytime or always at night time?

Active. Wants to keep playing always.

cool.

Yes sweats a lot, but no major smell of sweat. odourless mostly.

Transparent/Pale yellow & Green

At this age our only concern is that he is not able to speak clearly. So he is not able to express clearly what he wants. He fears being alone when he wakes up. Loves to be outside house. Very energetic and likes running a lot.

His remedy seems to be LYCOPODIUM.
You can start LYCOPODIUM 12C thrice a day for some days. As soon as you notice any change in his condition, stop the remedy and come back to me here.
In any case, don't continue the remedy beyond a week.
One dose would be 3 drops in some water taken in empty stomach. No food or water one hour before or after.

If you don't mind , One question. This medication is used for gas, would it be helpful in adenoids as well?
Also, can I make 12C formula from Club Moss (Lycopodium clavatum) Liquid Extract . If yes how may drops?

Lycopodium is a polychrest and also used for children's problems provided it is indicated based on totality.
Please buy Lycopodium 12C of a reputed brand ( Reckeweg, Bioron, Helios etc.)
It will either come in pills or liquid form. 2 pills in some 10 ml water in dissolved condition may be taken as one dose.
