The ABC Homeopathy Forum

Hirsutism and polycystic ovaries

Hi, I am a 22 yr old female of Indian origin. I was diagnosed with pcos at the age of 10 with the onset of menses and excessive hair growth all over the body.
Allopathic Treatment for my condition has not been too successful. After consulting a doctor at the age of 16 for extremely painful periods (that last for 6 days but are regular) and SEVERE acne breakouts I was asked to get the levels of LH, FSH and prolactin checked. Only prolatin levels were increased.
I was prescribed doxycycline for almost a year which proved inaffective then Minoz- all antibiotics that didn't seem to provide any relief to my face full of acne. With these, I was given Yasmin for 6-7 months and Aldactone which continued on and off.
When nothing seemed to work, I was given Isotretinion for almost a year after which my acne seemed to clear(within 2 months).
Unfortunately for me, even after undergoing several laser treatments for 3 years for full body hair removal and consuming all the above mentioned medicines I still have quite a few break outs, I still have very thick dark hair on my sideburn area, chin, neck and several other regions of my body and apart from this, I still have really painful periods, esp the 1st 3 days.
I feel so helpless after having tried almost everything in the past 7 years. My last hope is to get the correct homeopathic treatment... Please please help me in any which way you can.
Kindly let me know if any further information or specifications are needed. Thank you.

"Periods are regular and usually on time.
"
When was the last period completed (Date)?

Are there any Vaginal discharge issues?

nawazkhan 8 years ago
Last period completed on 24-06-15
There is slight white-yellow or just plain white discharge once in a while that I notice. Never in a large quantity, just small amount, sometimes its there, sometimes it isn't. Consistency is medium to a bit thick. I can't be precise about it since it doesn't seem to have a pattern and never bothered me much.
However, my cycle was completed 4 days ago and acne has returned and at the moment is spread all over the lower half of my face. My face and scalp is also exceptionally oily this month.

Hi sir
I started taking pulsatilla as you advised from 01-07. Today I took the 3rd dose.
What is the next step sir?

richa26 8 years ago
So, how do you feel now? What are the current Mind and all physical symptoms?

Sir, after a day of taking pulsatilla- I felt an outburst of emotions. There was aggression in my nature and I was slightly over reacting yesterday. After feeling over emotional I ended up crying twice. Once because I was having an argument with someone and I said things that I wouldn't have so easily otherwise.

Physically-
Im feeling nauseous ever since i took the medicine.
Abdominal discomfort, aches- stomach and back and recurrence of my already existing gastric problem due to which my stomach was upset from the night of the 2nd day till this evening. I had to relieve myself thrice within 10 hours. Stool was improper and lacked density. Discomfort is still there as well as nausea.
I hope Im not making it sound like all the symptoms are due to the medicine. I have a little serious cervical condition too and it makes me nauseous so maybe pustilla alone isn't the reason.

Thank you for your time and advise.

Let's wait for a couple of days.

nawazkhan 8 years ago
Sir, how long do I have to continue taking the medicine?
I started to notice some change in my skin 4-5 days back. Skin of my cheeks and chin area has started flaking out. It's also making my red acne scars look less prominent than before.

Hi,

"how long do I have to continue taking the medicine? "
Until, you are cured, Inshallah.

I need more info. to suggest further.

What are the current mind symptoms in detail?

All other physical symptoms will help in arriving at a correct remedy(s).

What remedies have been taken for the last 3 days?

How is the pain, if any?

Any discharges at this time?

nawazkhan 8 years ago
Doctor,

What are the current mind symptoms in detail?
-dry flaking skin on and around the area of my previous acne scars(cheeks, lower facial areas) . Though this area is flaky, suggesting dryness, my entire face is quite oily. Especially the area around the nose.
-Indigestion since 3 days. Apparently I have esophagitis.
-mild radiating pain in lower part of my abdomen comes and goes at different times of the day.

All other physical symptoms will help in arriving at a correct remedy(s).
-sir there's another massive thing I'm worried about. I've been trying to console myself just so that I don't stress over this matter much and make it worse. It's been 5 weeks, I was facing oily skin and scalp. I traveled out of station to visit my grandmother. There I noticed that my hair had started falling off too much. I thought it would pass and waited all this while.
Sir, it's like chunks of hair uselessly come out of my scalp every time I brush it, touch it wash it. Anything. I was almost in tears today, the hair fall is too evident. I have literally (and I swear I wish it was untrue) lost pretty much half of my hair volume in just a matter of 5 weeks.
I've had hair fall before but it has never been so extreme.
Apart from change of water for 6 days, there has been no other changes in my diet, environment, water, hair products. Nothing. Oh, and yes how can I forget, I've been through much more stressful times and I've never faced such hair fall before. I really wish to know the underlying cause. It's killing me to see myself go bald at this age.

What remedies have been taken for the last 3 days?
-no remedy except for pulsatilla 200 once a day.

How is the pain, if any?
-pain in lower abdomen, mild but at times causes too much discomfort.
-cervical pain.

Any discharges at this time?
-No discharges really. Same as before.

Thank you.
