2 year old with Ulcerative colitis - currently on steroids

My 2 year old was diagnozed with UC last month thru a colonoscopy. He was in hospital for 3 weeks. Now he is on steroids - prednisone and hydrocortisone enemas. we are weaning him off steroids but still see some blood in stools. we want to try homeopathy also. Any advice.
