Kitten W/Bloody Urine - Help!

Hi all - I'm new. I found this forum while searching for information on urinary issues in cats/kittens...

My specific problem is my DSH kitten - I caught him peeing outside of his litter box today, and I noticed that the urine was bloody towards the end of the stream. I know that urinating outside of the box is often a sign of the cat avoiding the box due to associating it with the pain of urinating due to some kind of infection/problem - And the bloody pee is a definate huge red flag...

I don't know his specific age as he is a rescue, but he is under 6 months, still has his baby teeth but has lost his 'kitten hair' and has a nice smooth coat now. I've had him since he was between 6-8 weeks old.

He has been fed a 100% raw & wet (canned) food diet since the day I got him. My research has brought me to conclude that a diet consisting of raw & wet food is the most healthy option for my cats - As it is what their system was built to function on.

I was/am also of the belief that a raw & wet food diet will usually prevent urinary issues in normal cats (cats not prone to these problems to begin with) due to the fact that cats are built to obtain most of their moisture from their prey/food - Not via drinking water from an external source.

Nevertheless, I did buy a Drinkwell Water Fountain which encourages cats to drink due to the constantly running water (plus the fact that it's fresh & filtered). Mostly I just got it for my Bengal to play with since it has a waterfall and he's a water freak... But they do drink from it from time to time, mostly the kitten.

I've been feeding them Wellness canned cat food in the Chicken, Turkey & Beef/Chicken flavors. I add warm water to the mix every few days or so for added moisture. For raw food they get Peppercatz Chicken Lickin' & Turkey Lurky - They prefer the turkey. They also get ground chicken backs and chopped turkey necks, again preferring the turkey.

They have two large litter boxes in different areas of the house which I usually scoop every day - Every other day at the very least. I use World's Best Cat Litter, a corn based all natural litter.

I guess I'm just wondering what my options are (if any) aside from rushing him straight to the vet, and also how this could happen given the lifestyle he has plus the fact that he's so young. Any advice/insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Start with Cantharis or Urtica Urens. Preferably Cantharis 30C, dose every 15 minutes-hour. If after several doses, there is no improvement, switch to Urtica Urens. As long as he is making urine that is a good sign. Make sure he keeps drinking water as well.

As I say, please order Urtica Urens Q and keep it on hand. My cat had a bloody bladder infection and then became blocked. Urtica Urens saved his life.

As for feeding raw and wet. I feed only raw. Their systems have a hard time digesting raw and cooked together. Cooked foods are very acidic. If you are worried about raw providing balanced nutrients you can supplement with a multivitamin as your main supplement. Just my two cents.

The suggestion of Namaste27 is perfect but in case of failure try PHOSPHOROUS in high potency.Only few doses are required.
