Psorinum - Dr. Sajid Please reply

Dr. Sajid,

To my post regarding my son with eczema, you had prescribed Psorinum 1M. I gave him the medicine and his condition has aggravated a lot. He is very red with swelliing on his face and very itchy and red on all his body. Is it the right reaction or it was not the right medicine for him.

What is next step? Please reply ASAP. I am very concerened.

Dr. Sajid,

For my son you had prescribed Psorinum 1M. I gave him 2 doses of it (one on 17th Jan and other one on 19th Jan). By weekend his face was very rea and swollen.

Well as you had asked since then we have waited and watched him to improve. Redness from his face is gone 80%. But he is very flaky on face and especially back of his neck.

Main botheration right now is that he does not sleep at night. He is very itchy especially from 12:00AM to 4:00AM.

Before he used to be itchy at his eczema patches but recently he has been itching his back a lot though I do not see any change there. He is itchy on his arms, legs, chest and stomach portion as well.

Please guide us what is the next step.

and wait for the improvement,

Dr. Sajid,

Luckily, I was able to find the ARSENICUM ALBUM 30 in my local store. So I gave him 3 doses (5 pellets as written on the bottle for 1 dose) on Sunday (Jan 29th).

I am not sure whether ARSENICUM ALBUM was for itching or flakes. Flakes were 90% gone by the time I gave him the medicine.

He is getting new eczema bumps on his shoulder, chest, stomach, lower back and arms, legs.

And he is still very itchy and have trouble sleeping especially around 2:00 AM.

Please advice.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I am sorry I did not give me son Psorinum yet.

As I had mentioned earlier, he was developing new eczema patches and was very itchy. We just could not bear his pain due to so much scratching and ended up putting the steroid cream on him.

I really believe your medicine will improve my son's condition. But we need to communicate more like what kind of effect certain medicine might have. So we are more mentally prepared. Also we can plan better when to give certain medicine. May be we can give medicine on Thursday or Friday night when we will be home to take care of him. As we both work and my son goes to school during the day and it's very difficult for him in the school with all the itching.

Please let us know what is the best way for us. I noticed from your profile that you have the website. Would you like us to come through your website?

Dr. Sajid,

I gave my son Psorinum 1M dose on Thu night (02/02). His face was again red by Sat morning and he was very itchy. He has remained very itchy on all his body till today and his face is still 85% red.

Please advice the next step.

When I picked up my son today from school he had flaks all over his T-shirt and his face, neck especially back of his neck is very flaky. Just like last time though I will say it is little less flaky than last time.

I thought I would let you know.

Also I gave my son one dose of causticum 30.

Please be careful giving your son a nosode in such a high potency or even at all without a homeopath seeing him. From experience I know you can cause harm. I've been suffering with bad eczema myself and have done much research. I've also had terrible aggravations (from Psorinum in particular). You should always start any remedy at a 6C potency when dealing with eczema. Otherwise, terrible aggravations can occur and take a long time to go away. If you start with the 6C any aggravation will go away in a very short time. Eczema is very tough to treat and you really should see a homeopath so a full history can be taken. Look for someone that will treat with Hahnemann's 5th and 6th edition. It is fast with low chance of aggravation.

Thanks Maryo for the information. Actually I read about it on other places as well and was concerned about giving such high potency medicie but decided to go for it anyway.

Where can I find more information about Hahnemann's 5th and 6th edition? I am sorry but I am very novice when it comes to Homeopathy or other medical stuff. Till now I have relied heavily on my doctor's ability to cure me and my family.

Is your eczema better now? How do you know eczema is getting better? As must be the case with you as well, eczema comes and goes. So How do you know really that it is improving because of medicine or it was time for it to go?

Dr. Sajid,

I gave my son three doses of causticum 30.

He was itchy but not very itchy yesterday night. But he was very restless, he did not sleep much. Before even being itchy he used to be sleepy but he was having hard time sleeping yersterday.

Please advice the next step.

It sounds to me like he's getting too much remedy (not being able to sleep) or else the wrong remedy.

Do yourself a favor. Eczema runs deeper than the skin and is VERY complicated. Many things need to be taken into consideration - family history, etc. It needs to be followed very closely by someone who knows what they're doing.

Contrary to what some say, homeopathy given the wrong way can be very damaging. I know. Find him a good homeopath.
