Hair loss :(

Hello, I am a 25 year old female, but I have been losing hair steadily for 2 years but slowly. However, my hair loss completely stopped from June 2015 to Early september 2015. I was also taking the acne drug Accutane from April to August 2015. It is said that accutane can cause hair loss, is there a way to stop it?

A couple of things I have noticed, I feel like whenever I am constipated, my hair starts falling. Maybe it is in my head, but could there be a connection? Plus, whenever my scalp sweats, it starts itching mostly in the back, and if I brush my hair later, there is a lot of hair fall. Whereas, when my scalp is dry, I don't sweat, and then brush my hair, there's hardly any hair fall.

Somebody, please help me out, I'd be very grateful. I just hope it's not androgenic alopecia as I have heard it causes itching of scalp.

Please answer the following questions in a descriptive manner after careful analysis and recollection of previous experience and happenings.

1. Describe your main suffering? State the correct location of pain or suffering.

Constipation, hair loss, sporadic fatigue, and slight difficulty in gaining weight, like my body is not absorbing the nutrients.

2. What other physical sufferings do you have in your body?

None.

3. What mental sufferings / feelings do you have associated with your physical sufferings?

I sometimes get quite depressed due to my hair loss as my wedding is near. I feel negative, like what have I done wrong to suffer from the hair loss and fatigue. I had very healthy, thick hair growing up, and for the past two years, it has been falling except from june - early september 2015. It kills me everyday to see the strands as I comb my hair.

4. What exactly do you feel when you are at your worst? Describe the sensation in your own words.

My hair falls from the root when I brush, it's like, the roots of my hair are weak. Is that possible? Other than that my hair is great in texture and feel but they tangle easily when I let them down. My fatigue is hard to explain, I feel dizzy when I get up from a prone position, and my vision dims for a few seconds before it adjusts again. As for constipation, I don't get the urge to have a bowel movement lately.

5. When did it all start? Can you connect it to any past event or disease? What was happening in your life just before these symptoms were noticed?

Well, it started in feb 2014 after I got a hair cut. And from then on, hair has been falling steadily. I was also taking antibiotics for acne at that time. I used to think it was because of people commenting about my hair. I don't think that anymore. I do notice it gets worst when I am constipated and in the months of october, november, and december. My fatigue definitely set in after starting accutane. I have been off it since september, and was on a low dose. Also I have dieted a lot 3 years ago, and lost a considerable amount of weight. But, like I said it's been a while.

6. What time of the day do you suffer the most? What time of the day /night do you feel most energetic and happy?

Not sure, but I feel tired in the afternoon even if I haven't exerted myself at all.

7. What are the things that aggravate your suffering and those that ameliorate the same? Example: time, hot or cold application, pressure, rubbing, washing, eating, tight clothing, sweating, walking, climbing, stool etc. Is there anything unusual about your pains or sufferings?

I guess not, but like I said, when I am not constipated, my hair fall seems to improve.

8. Do you think your sufferings have direct relation to any particular external factor or are it something to do with your own biological changes?

Antibiotics in early 2014 for acne, accutane in march 2015 till september. I have a feeling these have caused all my suffering.

9. When do you feel worst, during hot weather or cold weather, humid or dry weather, standing, walking, climbing stairs, sitting, hanging legs down, laying down, turning in bed etc.?

When I am laying down and stand up, I get dizzy.

10. Describe your general mental set up? Please pick out the adjectives which best describe your personality; (pick 3 to 5 most appropriate words that describe your mental traits)

I forgot to mention some stuff about my nails. I have always had very smooth nails but for the past 7 or 8 months my nails have developed vertical ridges. Plus, right when I noticed the hair loss (early september) my three of my nails developed white spots. My fingertips aren't plump and smooth either. They have vertical lines on them, when I never used to have them, only noticed them last month.

Somebody please help. A friend asked me try cell salts. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Please start treatment with three doses of SULPHUR 200C each dose 6 hours apart on a single day.

Based on the response, another repeat dose may be taken after 15 days.

One dose would be 3 drops of remedy in some 10 ml water slowly sipped up in empty stomach. Don't take any food or water or even rinse mouth one hour before or after.

Let me know after two weeks.

rishimba 8 years ago
Thank you, Rishimba. So, three doses, 6 hours apart, and then stop, right? Any difference between 200x and 200c?

Can I also take silicea, or is it better to wait?

boogie 8 years ago
Take SULPHUR 200C which is higher in potency than 200X.

Don't take any other remedy when you take SULPHUR.

This remedy is not the final one. It is better to start with Sulphur when you have taken a lot of medication earlier and the problems are somehow linked to the medicines.

Do you prefer cool or warm weather?

Are you uncomfortable in winter or summer?
