miscarriage in the process...

I am nearing my twelfth week of pregnancy and went for a routine ultrasound today only to learn that my baby is the size of a seven week fetus. There was no heart beat or sac in addition there were no limb buds or any distinguishable features - just a shadow of a fetus.

My doctor said that a miscarriage has begun but the baby died over a month ago and I have not started to bleed or show any signs of miscarriage. Is there something that I can take to help the natural process of miscarriage? I am worried about infection and the surgical procedure D&E is not scheduled until next wednesday at the earliest.

I am very devastated by this loss. I can't stop crying and can't stop thinking about what I may have done to cause this. I have two beautiful little boys but I was so looking forward to having this third baby.

Any advice would be appreciated.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
We have very good medicine for that you have to take Pulsatilla 10M daily two doses for 4 to 5 days with Silicea 200 three doses for a week and report me. Please start immediatley don't do late.

Dear Jentoun
This same thing happened to me last summer. It was very difficult and I wanted you to know you were in my thoughts. I found a lot of emotional support and answers to my questions (is this normal?) in the forums at babycenter(dot)com. It won't let me post an external url here but if you go there, on the left hand side click on Boards A-Z, click on M and then find the list Miscarriage, stillbirth, and infant loss and go there you can find something that is appropriate for you. I have decided after the last time dealing with everything naturally that if it were to happen to me again I would without a doubt have a d&c done because it was so much more than anyone prepared me for. If you would like to email me privately and discuss I welcome you. fbshibori(at)gmail(dot)com Again I am so sorry for your loss, you are in my thoughts. Please I encourage you to join one of those forums for your emotional support. It is very important for you to know that miscarriage is much more common than we would all like to believe. I believe the statistic is 1 in 3 women have had one, I was very surprised to know this, but found comfort somehow in knowing that I certainly wasn't alone, that it was a normal part of life when looking at the bigger picture. So please there was nothing that you have done wrong. If one of the doctors here could recommend something herbal for you that would be very calming, centering, and healing - something to relieve your grief during this time. You're in my thoughts,
Anne

I'm sorry to read about your story, but maybe it is some comfort to you to read my article about birth stress, if you want you can read other stories posted by me.
