Issues of Alopecia and aging

I am a healthy 68 year old female married 45 years.
Dx: Diabetes type 2 well controlled and hypertension also well controlled
Diet: Mediterranean
BMI 25
Alopecia since my teens progressed now with thin and brittle hair and itchy/sensitive scalp. I have tried everything I could find with no improvement. Psychological damage as to how I feel about myself. Causes me grief if it’s a hot day I cannot do outside activities like swimming.
Mental fatigue as a result of age/ anxiety serving elderly family members followed by grief of losing them in the last 26 months. I often feel too tired to think and I lose ideas and thoughts usually not being patient enough because of anxiety. I was thinking of using Phosphoric Acid for this.
I have aversion to noises for which I am currently using Zincum Metallicum 30C

Please take Natrum Mur 200 twice a day for 2 days and see how that affects over 15 days. Please avoid other homeopathic remedies.

I have now completed the 15 days after taking Natrum Mur 200 for two days twice each day. I did not take any other remedies during that time. My mental alertness has improved with general energy as well. I am wanting to be more active in activities at my church and feel comfortable in meeting new people and sharing my thoughts without missing a beat. I still have anxiety but less aversion to loud noises. It does appear the closer spring is the better my positive mood gets. I know I am affected by SAD. I will always have excess stress in my life due to circumstances beyond my control.

It is hard to tell about my hair with regard to alopecia yet my scalp is less sensitive. I use Wen cleansing products now and the hair I do have seems stronger yet still dry and not smooth even though it has a good conditioner as I am told. I also noticed my hair does not behave like velcro as far as tangling. I can now run my fingers carefully through my hair without running into tight knots that otherwise would cause breakage. My doctor suggested trying Spironolactone (diuretic) as it can help women (only) to stimulate extra follicles to grow. Is there a remedy that acts this same way? This is a huge issue for me as my self image is deeply affected. I don’t want people thinking I am having chemo and wearing sunscreen on my scalp is impossible and nasty. Hats and wigs are my only choice, but I deeply dislike it since I am a hot person even in the winter wearing caps cause me to sweat heavily. I still need help on these issues of anxiety and alopecia. Thank you so much for my improvement.

Please take a single dose of Sulphur 200 and see how that affects over 15 days.

Sorry, I'm new here. When you say take a single dose, do you mean one pellet or the 5 pellets mentioned in the directions on the case? It says to take that amount 3 times per day. I assume you mean 5 pellets total one time and then wait 15 days, right?

You got it right Judy.

The last 15 days on Sulphur 200 have gone well. My scalp has improved and my hair seems stronger over the course. My anxiety is reduced for one reason or another but more over these last two weeks. I have joined a support group with spiritual people who have traveled similar path of stressful living due to having a child with addiction issues or in my case mental illness. I am feeling far more positive with the 12 step approach. I can only work my side of the street as they say. Son has been stable for 6 months without psychosis.

I just had my annual Medicare physical with an awesome lipid panel. My triglycerides settled down from 174 to 118. HDL =72 I have been vitamin D deficient as I’m told I need to be close at least to 40 for depressive issues if I don’t. I am at 29 while taking 5,000 units per day as instructed by a specialist who I can no longer afford. I had asked that my magnesium level be tested, but it was not done. I know they are related so I’m frustrated with my doctor’s lack of follow through and could be the reason for the draw down. My calcium is normal so I don’t want to take cal/mag.

I gained a few pounds which is due in part to lack of exercise during these past winter months of horrible cold snowy weather. I had curbed my carbs but need to work on losing 5+ pounds which is not easy as a type 2 diabetic. I had been put on Lipitor (10mg) years ago when I couldn’t get my cholesterol down lower than 180. Several doctors later I was still taking it. (Seems once they put you on something they never look back to reconsider). I have lost 25 #‘s and my diet is better and I have discontinued my Lipitor (6 months ago) because I believe it is actually the reason for the type 2 dx. I saw my Ophthalmologist this week which showed a perfect result, no glaucoma, no retinopathy, no change in RX over last 18 months, no cataracts which adds to my long list of NO complications. (A1C at 6.4) I feel I need support to lose weight and reverse my diabetes. My appetite is reasonably controlled however, holidays and husbands snacking can be tempting at times.
