The ABC Homeopathy Forum

To Rajiv Prasad

I am a 38 years old female. 4 years ago I developed chicken pox. 2 years later, developed atypical neuralgia on the right side of my face, which the docs said was similar to Postherpetic neuralgia, caused by the same virus. All facial/brain scans came out clear. A year with homeopathy cured me.

Then in July, last year, I developed dental neuralgia - that makes one molar feel like it is always paining. Nothing was found wrong with the tooth. On bad days, the pain radiated to the front teeth or towards the neck. I was given 1M dose of Lycopodium. The pain got much much better. Off and on I had the pain flare up for a few days then go down, and stay almost non existant for a few weeks. Any kind of stress/overwork seemed to bring it on. Different homeopathic medication kept it under control....the most effective one was Hypericum.

Around the same time of my recurance of neuralgia, I developed constant pain in my last fingers and toes...now a little better with homeo.

The only other recurring complaint that I have is sinus. Sometimes this seems to bring on the tooth ache , sometimes not.

I had a master check up in July last year, everything but my tooth was normal. Here againt the scans showed nothing wrong. The dctors told me it was neuralgia again.

Recently I have been getting the tooth neuralgia more often - takes a week to die down. Have done extensive reading on Homeopathy so keep tryign something myself that seems to get the pain down and away for up to a week until it appears again. It does not go away for up to 3 weeks as it did last time. Most times it is stress /overwork, sometimes sinus.

I read your post on Post Shingles Neuralgia.

As mine seems a similar case, would you recommend me also trying Variolinum 200? Or do you have any other suggestions?

Take Variolinum 200 one dose on a given day of the week, then one dose of Variolinum 1M on the next day and then wait for 15 days.In case of improvement, contact me again after 15 days.If there is no improvement in the neuralgia then it may be due to some other factor. What i am saying is that if it is post herpetic neuralgia, then Variolinum will definitely help.If it is something else then it will not help.

All the best.
