The ABC Homeopathy Forum

to Dr. Joe de livera regarding baby acid reflux

Hello Dr.
I'd like to have suggestions about my baby girl who is 2 months old & is suffering from reflux since she's 2weeks of age. I live in Dhaka, Bangladesh. As per doctors' prescription, I was giving her simethicone bp & domperidone together at the first stage. The simethicone seemed good working relatively to the domperidone. The later one didn't give any result as per my observation. Her situation was deteriorating day by day. from a desperate search on homeopathic remedies of reflux, my husband found your posts. Then we changed the therapy to Nat phos 6x. Its being almost a month we are giving her Nat phos 6x half a dose after meals within the range of 6 tablets each day. We were amazed to see the result. She got to b calm down immediately after giving her the dose. But it seems that now a days especially last couple of days it's not working that much. Is it the dose, which needs to be changed or its something else? I should tell you that after consulting with another homeo doc we were giving her another med once daily early in the morning Parallelly with NP 6x. I didn't see any significant change till now. Rather, sometimes I feel it worsens.

Additionally, I should note that she'd been on antibiotics 2 times within her 2months of life. The 1st one at 3days of age.and the last one at 1& 1/2 months of age.(i suspect though unsure that the 1st antibiotics may have done some destruction in her new born gut systems which is responsible behind her reflux.) Now my question is should we change np to something else or just a change in the doses will be appropriate for her?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Can you please copy your baby's case on my Website as it is possible that I may not read your posts in response to mine as the auto email alert has been discontinued on the ABC?

I do not visit this ABC Forum daily as I once used to do for many years since it was first established, when I was one of the founder prescribers.

You may like to know that I am 86 years and I drive to office daily. Homeopathy is not my profession and I use and prescribe Homeopathic remedies in a non classical manner which attracted the ire of classical homeopaths who derisively labelled my therapy "Joepathy" (Google) many years ago when they discovered that I was curing their own patients who opted to consult me much faster than they were, thereby causing them some embarrassment.

I practice what I preach and do not take any drugs whatever as I only take a teaspoonful of Arnica 30c in the Wet dose nightly and all my vital statistics are normal.
