Living in terror

Don't know what to do. I am subject to occasional dizzy spells/blackouts that obviously affect my driving. It terrifies me and my wife. I'm a gasfitter; I have to drive a lot.

We have assessed my symptoms and over time have ruled things out. Initially I hoped it was caffeine and nixed coffee and chocolate from my diet. It seems to have helped but has not eradicated the problem.

I try to keep myself well hydrated.

I've been seeing a chiropractor, who told me that a possible cause was a vertabrae in my neck. I've been seeing him for awhile but I'm still having problems.

I'm now looking at my diet and wondering what I could be lacking. I seem to crave protein and wonder if a deficiency would cause anything like this?

My sleeping habits are sometimes erratic or interrupted and I wonder about a correlation.

I did suffer a closed head injury, 16 years ago but truly hope that this symptom isn't one that I have to live with.

Thank you.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
The digestive enzyme protease digests protein. If you are deficient in this you would crave protein.

Amino acids play a vital role in the central nervous system, brain function, and mood elevation.

B Vitamins help with restful sleep (B3 -Niacin especially for dizziness)

Anemia can cause dizziness which is also a Vitamin B(12) deficiency. If you eat animal products, this probably isn't a cause.

I would be concerned about the head injury.

Shaye,
there are two remedies you can look at, Natrum Sulph and Arnica.
Which one fits your character better is the remedy to take, get it high 1m and take it as follows.
One in the morning and one at night untill you feel some bodily reaction. can't say what this will be or a clearing of the mind. Then don't take anymore for at least a month, continuously taking remedies this high will not help you at all. Blackouts should cease.
