Serious Pain

Hello-

I have been having a big cramping pain in my middle abdomen (about 1 inch above my belly button). It feels like someone stuck their hand in me and is squeezing. I have mild gastritis, and I have just thought it had something to do with that.

It has gotten very worse. The doctors have run all kinds of tests and can only come up with "mild gastritis."

I went to the chiropractor for an adjustment to an old injury at my lumbar region, and I noticed afterward that the abdomen pain was less! So I thought maybe it is not a GI issue, but a nerve or spinal issue? Maybe referred pain from the spine?

Also, I am only eating broth now, since the pain is so bad, but for three days I have eaten only broth and the pain is not any less. It seems if it was digestive the pain would be less.

Can anyone help me with a remedy. The only thing that helps is a warm bath, but I cannot sit in the bathtub all day.

Thank you kindly for your help.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
wht positions u find most relief?
which position worsens?

Thank you for your response.

wht positions u find most relief? laying down - sitting really hurts unless I fold up my legs.

which position worsens? sitting

what meds u using? no pharmaceuticals - I just tried Mag Phos and that helped the cramping a little but, but now I really feel the spinal pain. Sometimes Pulsatilla 6c will help (but not 30c or 200c). Nux Vom 30c seemed to help for a couple of days, but not today. Rhus Tox didn't help.

what other things finding some relief? warm bath, laying down, resting, slow deep breathing sometimes helps with the crampy feeling.

worsenings? sitting, especially sitting on hard things

what had occurred/going on in life just prior to this? The spinal injury was from a car accident 15 years ago, but my beloved pet died a few months ago and the cramping symptoms got worse, then they got worse about 10 days ago, and I can't think of any trigger for that.

I do have a fair amount of abdominal bloating, and so I thought it was just from that for a long time. But now I wonder if the bloating is putting pressure on the nerves?

what has been emotional state since past 10 days?

Each night I am curled up in a ball crying...I am really in pain and am scared I might not be able to eat again. I am really obsessed about my pain. Once I took the Nux Vomica, I did seem more calm and stable - my husband noticed a difference saying I felt less tense and more calm.

what correlation with menses?

I'm not sure. I am on day 23 right now, and this started about 10 days ago.

when was last menses? started June 5

when next due? July 3

has menses been affected?
my menses was a week late last month - I don't k now if it relates to this.

how controllable is the crying?

John Stanton 7 years ago
It is controllable...there is some mild irritation.

Nux Vom 30c really was remarkable in helping to shift my mood...but it stopped helping my pain.

what new symptoms u notice after nux-v?

no new symptoms

what potency do u have staphysagria and ignatia in?

I have both in 30c. I took ignatia after my pet died and it helped, but it gave me insomnia.

how steady is the sad mood crying? how often laugh ?

The crying and depressed feeling have stopped since taking Nux Vom. Now I have just a mildly sad feeling.

how steady are ur thinkings?

I have a foggy brain, poor memory, I mix words up, woozy in the head sometimes...all with intense sleepiness during the day.

ability to focus?

Much decreased.

right on

John Stanton 7 years ago
I took the staphysagria 30c last night before bed, and oh my goodness, the pain is 100% gone! The tummy cramp and the pain at my spine is gone.

You are a miracle worker. I cannot thank you enough.

How do I proceed at this point...just let it keep working?

Thank you greatly for your help!

Hello John-

The pain is beginning to come back. It is very mild right now, but the tension is beginning.

Should I take another dose of Staph 30c? 200c? Something else?

Thank you kindly.

Thank you for your response.

The only new symptom is some emotionality. But it is two days before my period and I did ready that staphysagria can help one release emotions.

Should I still go with 200c?

Thank you kindly.

magicandmiracles1 7 years ago
no staphysagria yet--if didn't take already..

what u mean 'new ' emotionally?

John Stanton 7 years ago
I'm sad and somewhat weepy. Also a bit angry with some things from the past with my husband.

magicandmiracles1 7 years ago
no staphysagria 200c

what is total current symptomology occurring?

and pleases explain how u re[present ur anger..

John Stanton 7 years ago
I apologize for the delayed response, I was traveling for the holiday.

I'm not so weepy anymore (maybe my period?)...I just feel a deep sadness when I think about my relationship with my husband. I think "anger" might have been the wrong word. I notice that my husband has been very angry lately with some things at work, and he has a habit of taking these things out at home. Rather than walking away or fighting...I am just quietly and firmly saying I cannot do this. He gets more angry when I do this. And now I am feeling very sad about the relationship. I just feel "resigned"...and I am not even sure what that means...and sad.

what is current status of pain?

what things u feel better with?

John Stanton 7 years ago
I did take a second dose of Staph 30c on about 4 days ago for the pain and it helped.

A warm bath will help with the pain (I've tried Mag Phos)...but really nothing helps it so thoroughly as Staphysagria.

Thank you.
