Proper cleaning of cups, bottles etc... for remedies?

Okay most of the remedies are being made in pharmaceutical setting so I am really struggling to find this info online. Sometimes bought meds need to be dissolved at home, etc. I keep running into confusing data like "don't wash these dishes with your normal dishes" etc.

I have a few questions:
1. If a bottle has a metal cap, is it unsuitable for remedies (in liquid form)?
2. How to remove potencies from cups, spoons etc. in household settings? (except sunshine - I've read UV rays remove it but not everyone has a balcony)
3. Can detergent be used? I've heard only water rinsing?

Please somebody bring more light upon the subject.
Thanks

Yes, thanks, that helps. Can you clarify, when he says utensils should be cleaned "for another medicine"... does it mean for making another potency of the same substance, or for another substance...?

'another medicine"--seems to indicate - new medicine altogether---but if read in 270 "preparartion of medicine to 2nd degree(LM2)" ..he mentions new vial to be used--applying this principle--trituration prep of 1c thru 3c (270a)---I say to wash between triturations...

went over process again --and there is no need to wash between triturations when preparing 2c form the 1c --or 3c from the 2c...reason is after mortar is scrapped of 1c..and vialed--some of the vialed 1c (1/3 grain) Is used to make 2c (being 1c triturate was last in mortar (and being scrapped)--th eproblem of residue doesn't exist (being 1c was last in mortar)....same to 3c..

with liquid (solutions) --new vial is to be used... each potency up--LM1,LM2,...etc

Thanks, very helpful. I am still thinking about plastic. Plastic is basically a xenohormone so although it is not powdered when used as a utensil, I was wondering if it could affect. I begin to think that it wouldn't, because based on what you cited, it would need to be in powder form and get rubbed quite a while in the mortar to create something that could further be developed in water... it needs to begin in mortar if it's something insoluble in water so it would make sense plastic cannot affect? Ofc I could be wrong with that reasoning, but just thinking aloud...

Hi

I was reading your earlier posts, being enthused by your latest thread. I just clicked your username and reached here. :-)

Heat will make the cups/ bottles neutral again. Use stainlesssteel glasses / spoons, and put them in a bowl of water, and let the water come to a boil. Sterilisation. Required only when you change the medicine/ potency.

Best thing is to use disposable cups and spoons. Just throw them away after single use. They are inexpensive.

I will come back to your recent thread. Let me digest it. :-)
