Overweight 7-year-old

Hello:

My daughter is 7 year old and when i took her for vaccination last week, we realized that she is overweight for her age, almost by 6 kgs. Doc said that this is alarming as she can attend age early; this overweight could be from thyroid disorder or excessive eating. I believe it is due to excessive eating as she is a good foodie and is always active. I have removed all the carbs from her diet, stopped milk for the time being, will be starting her on low fat milk next week, and put her more on fruits and veggies. she was never on excessive junk foods, however, have stopped giving her any choclates, biscuits or any other junk that children carve for. Kindly help me reduce her weight and bring back to normal. thank you.
