bad taste in mouth from fever

hi, i recently had swollen tonsils. and also had a fever. and i was blowing my nose alot. i had it for about 4 days. the 3rd day i saw my doctor. he thought i had mono and prescribed me antibiotics. so about the day after the fever was gone. my nose cleared up alittle. and my throat didnt hurt that much. but i have this awfule taste in my mouth. i can barley eat becuz when i eat i taste it with the food. the only thin that doesnt taste bad is water. i cleaned my tongue and it still didnt work. can someone help me.
