This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
How is your digestion? Constipation/acidity etc.

What emotions you have?

Fear anxiety anger irritability attachment ??

Your height weight .

Also what do you think caused it.

I dont have any chronic digestive issues. But I was constipated a few years back, due to which I had an anal fissure. I got it corrected surgically.

I have anxiety, irritability. I tend to overthink problems. Maybe that is why. I am prone to feeling depressed

I am 5'4" and weigh 54 kgs. My skin is also extremely sensitive to most topicals. Even 5 mins in the sun makes my skin look dull.

Gotcha!

You have excess vayu which manifests as constipation/anxiety etc.

Confirm that you cannot do without spicy food .also you prefer warm over cold and liquid and oily food over dry food.

Teupne 7 years ago
Yes i prefer spicy food and liquidy food to dry. Nit so much about oil.

I prefer warm weather to cold weather. Cant handle lots of cold. I also I have sinus problems due to deviated nasal septum

To begin with please start with triphla and Aloe Vera.

I would advise further.

Homemade triphla should be used.better you plant your own aloe vera and consume its sap.

Teupne 7 years ago
I have aloe vera at home. How do i make triphala. And how often should i consume

reddniharika 7 years ago
Triphla once in either morning or after dinner one teaspoon with normal water. Ensure you take nothing till one hour.you can even take both morning and evening if it suits you.

It will detox your body over time and then work as tonic.

For homemade triphla procure amla harad and bahera fruits grind them in powder after removing seed in equal proportion

Aloe Vera in morning on empty stomach.

This is a very basic prescription but helpful nonetheless.

I will prescribe others after 15-30 days as per response.

Thank you, I will follow 15 days and get back to you

Diet is the key.

Stop non veg completely. It causes toxins in the body in your case bad breath as it is difficult to digest.take light satvik vayu shamak diet.

Check anti vata diet online.

No tea coffee and junk food.

Allow your body to heal . It will heal if you let it heal.

Also check your prakriti/vikriti online at holisticonline.Com ayurveda section.

Remember ultimately its the diet that heals in the long run.

If you eat proper your body will be thankful and will heal.

It takes some time to heal naturaly but improvement is long lasting and will continue.

Skin still looks very dull.A s it is winter it becomes exceedingly dry. Dark circles are prominent and experiencing lots of hair fall with premature greying.

Describe what all changes you made as advised by me.

What changes you feel in digestion? Anything else you want to share do so in detail.

Teupne 7 years ago
No tea or coffee or nonveg. I have been having triphala with warm water every night before bed and aloe vera juice every morning.

I feel lighter. Apetite has improved. earlier i used to feel full all the time. Constipation is better too. I still have it maybe once a week but not that bad.

Good.

Continue with triphla and aloe Vera. You can take them for long periods as suited.

Diet only can heal you.

So no fast foods, cold drinks, o packaged food.they are toxic for body.

Check anti vata diet online and follow it.

Prefer sour salty and sweet tastes.

No bitter astringent and pungent tastes.

Eat fresh fruits .(sour, salty and sweet) lemon .....

Use following spices:cardamom, basil, ginger, cinnamon, clove, methi.

Vayu people need spices to boost digestive fire.

Take warm liquid food.

No cold foods like icecream etc.

Generally dairy is good for vata ppl.
If milk suits you take it with warm spices like cardamom ginger etc.

Start Taking chach using your spices (butter milk) after food daily.

What cooking oil do you use??

Sesame oil is best oil for Vayu persons.Change your oil to pure sesame oil. It will be very helpful.

Follow above and report after 15 days.

Thank you for your advice. I use sunflower oil for cooking. I check vata balancing diet online. As per the online test you recommended, I have high vata and pitta...the diet recommendations for both are a little contradicting, for example, sweet and sour tastes aggravate pitta. Can u suggest a few food items that will hlp balance both vata and pitta. I will follow the same. I do have dairy. 1 glass milk in the morning. I will include buttermilk with the spices you recommended. An ayurvedic doctor revommended i stop having sour as that would aggravate pitta. So i am confused now

Also, my skin is getting extremely dry in the winters. No amount of moisturiseris help. I am massaging with sesame oil

Excellent question.

Predominantly pitta people are never constipated.

Since you suffer from constipation you are vata first.

Your acidity (pitta) is probably due to high vata. When vata is excessed it forces pitta out of its site in small intestine and spreads it.

Meat consumption also increases pitta.also tea and coffee.

Point being as your vayu balances so would your pitta.

True that currently since your pitta may be high so you can be careful .I deliberately added aloe vera as it will take care of pitta.

Sweet taste balances both vata and pitta. So you can take natural organic sweet ...eg.sweet fruits, rice, wheat, other sweet grains.

All above are sweet and digest well.

Don't take outside sweets. Processed food.

You can take sprouted mung(satvik) in morning. Very very good to restore digestion.

Sout taste would increase pitta so for now you may reduce somewhat but over long term it is good for you.

To sum up balancing excess vayu is most important, for time being pitta also should be taken care of somewhat.

Sunflower oil is mildly cool so just ok for vayu. Vayu need warmth. But ensure it is not refined sunflower oil but whole unrefined only. Refined oil is poison. Avoid.

Idea is to eat food in their closest and freshest natural form.

For dry skin sesame is best as told earlier. You can also use almond oil. Good for you.

Good luck. What's your education and state of residence.

Dear niharika

Healing will take some time .You have to be patient.

Two parts to healing:

First detox/improving digestion

:This removes blockages to healing thus enabling body to heal itself.triphla /aloe Vera/castor oil

Second step rejuvenation:through special vata herbs like ashwagandha , shatavari and sesame. But only after first step when digestion is restored thus easy assimilation of tonic herbs.

I will prescribe further today.

Teupne 7 years ago
You are under stress currently .

Stress does not help anyone. So try to relax.

If your digestion is restored and you are not constipated at all then start taking ashwagandha powder with milk.
Its very good for you.

For mental stress take basil tea. Another mind herb very good for you is vacha.

For digestion:already told spices.

Elimination:triphla, aloe Vera, flax seeds

Energy:ashwagandha and shatavar

Mind:ashwagandha, vacha, basil

Healing will take some time.

Start taking whole sesame/sesame oil daily. It will help you and is best oil for you.

Keratosis is vata excess only its a minor issue disappears in summer. And will disappear with healing your vayu.
If you write ant thing do so in detail.
