Fluid Retention Issue

Hi

We have a 15 year old Daschound about 11KG in weight (22 pounds). He is suffering from enlarged heart and mitral valve insufficiency and regurgitation. As a result of this heart problem, he is accumulating a lot of fluid in his abdomen. That is creating a pressure on his heart and complicating the issue. We have been using diuretics prescribed but they are at most able to slow down the process but not stop it.

When I did the research, I see Calc Carb as having good effect here. But, it looks like it can't be used frequently.

Grateful for any advice.

Thanks in advance

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
We are giving some supplements for the heart condition but like to switch to Homeopathy if possible
