Digestive issues

Ever since my pregnancy I have had trouble going to the bathroom. Stools chronically dry and hard. Remedy for this?
Also is there a remedy for loss of sensation in bowels/urge to push? Possible nerve damage that maybe caused loss of sensation/urge(a couple years ago I had gone 2 weeks without going and ever since then was the loss of sensation). For the last few weeks Ive been doing enemas every other day or so just so i can go. I will note that when i eliminate i feel good, when i don't eliminate it causes sinus pain/pressure, body aches, flu-like symptoms. My diet is actually healthy, believe it or not. I was going normally before pregnancy and during the first half of pregnancy, then there was sudden change. I am starting sepia and nux at 200cc (today is day 2), as recommended by a homeopath. I am starting magnesium supplementation too.
Any help appreciated! Thanks!

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Ever heard of ayurveda?

What's your location?
Following should help your constipation:

1.Triphla powder

2.Aloe Vera sap

3.Castor oil (only for severe constipation but safe and pretty excellent)

4.No drying food like tea/coffee

5.flax seeds/raisins

Fitzgrl,

You may want to consider going to a chiropractor or a real trained shiatsu massage practitioner. Shiatsu works the spine with clothes on.

You need someone trained for some years in shiatsu, not a one day course. You can google shiatsu associations.

I had a similar issue after second child. The chiropractor made an adjustment on lower vertebrae and
Energy was flowing correctly in the spine , problem solved.

DISCOVERY: I just passed what looked like a rope worm!!! Eeek!
I wonder if something like that could be causing issues?
Here is my reply to everyone:
I've tried Triphala way in the past and it actually doesn't do much for me. I am nursing a baby so i don't think i can take aloe. I have started drinking a tablespoon of soaked chia seeds daily. I went to the chiro once after baby, but perhaps I should go again if it will help!
I will look into the Colinsonia...I don't have any now but will research and possibly buy it.

I would get your stool tested for parasites asap. If me, I would take the allopathic for whatever parasite it is and make sure it is gone. Then do
Homeopathic also.

You may have to test family members and do deep cleaning and washing to
Stop parasites for good.

Okay so I researched and I guess the theory on rope worm is inconclusive. It may have just been intestinal lining that I passed. Not sure.
UPDATE: On a positive note, I went to the bathroom for the first time today without needing to do an enema...twice actually. The only thing i had done differently so far (other that the chia seeds, sepia, nux and magnesium): I took himilayan pink salt water "sole" for the last 3 days, as recommended by a homeopath/naturopath. She believed that I had a mineral deficiency and that the sole would address that, and in turn make my intestines absorb the water it needs. I believe this had the biggest positive impact so far!
I encourage everyone to research this sole, as it seems to be a powerful tool: http://www.himalayancrystalsalt.com/sole-recipe.html

It is considered to be best salt as per ayurveda. We consume it during fasts.

Thanks for that link-,I use the pink salt in cooking- definitely different and strong.

I re read your dosing on nux and sepia. I suggest you do not take more. It sounds like your naturopath
Does not really know that much on homeopathic dosing. A lot of naturopaths take only a course in homeopathy and they prescribe like it is vitamin supplements.

Two remedies should not be taken on same day. A 200 c can work for 2 weeks or more- just one dose.
Nux is a big clearing out remedy of too much of anything- drugs, food, etc. Also used when indicated for constipation.

So why would you take sepia with nux (which can clear out sepia??)
Plus two remedies without waiting to see response over 2 weeks? How would you know what is doing what?
And taking even more doses you risk
Getting symptoms of the remedy that are overdose symptoms that will furthur confuse you.

I would wait now for two weeks, with no homeopathic remedies and keep track of your responses. Google herings law of cure to see what a homeopath looks for after ONE remedy is given.

Simone, thank you for the information. I will stop for 2 weeks. I hope I did no harm in taking those two together for like 4-5 days.
She had me taking NUX twice a day actually. (2 drops each time) Sepia was once a day (2 drops). It makes sense what you said. (I have taken 6 or 30 potency in the past with other remedies...I have never taken 200 until now) COuld you point me in the direction of some good solid basic homeopathic principles that I could read? I am a clinical master herbalist and holistic wellness student. I took a crash course in homeopathy myself, but it didn't go real deep. I am not acknowledgable enough yet in homeopathy to feel real confident in dosing. Hence the reason I was taking someone else's advice LOL. I would like a more solid education in the area.
Thanks

Start out reading drluc.com

Famous well regarded homeopath md, teacher and and also Chinese med dr.

He has retired, but his site has many articles- gives you the basics.

There is so much confusion out there now with remedies (combo) nope-
In stores and put into allopathic otc meds.and directions they are required to put on bottles that say for
X and take 4 pills every hour with nothing about stopping.

The principle of why remedies work has not changed. Bottom line the body will not harbor 2 similar disease
States. The remedy in chronic prescribing is to match the important symptoms, mental , physical, emotional , taking in what was going on
At the start-never well since.. and
Anything strange, rare , peculiar that
One will find perhaps only one remedy in materia medica has that symptom so that would take precedence.

When the remedy matches well - or partial then the body sees it as
A similar disease and ups the life force to clear the remedy and also it clears the underlying state.

In acute problems you match the acute symptoms.. like food poisoned - arsenicum - bruise or fall- arnica.

You can google materia medica and read all the details of any remedy.
These are well proven for decades.

You can also put things into Remedy Finder on this site and see matches-
Good for acutes.

After drluc start reading the organon by the master- hahnemann.

I also like cell salts - many times cell salts balance a person and then no need to go furthur. Great book is by
Dr skye weintraub called "natural healing with cell salts" a little encyclopedia of hundreds of conditions and what salt s to help.
