The ABC Homeopathy Forum

Severe ADHD, Procrastination, Lack of Focus, Inactive reading/listening

Dear Doctor,

My name is Neetigya Saxena, I am 29 years old. I am having severe ADHD. I recently visited a psychiatrist and He confirmed it by taking several tests. I, however refused to consume allopathy medicine by reading about the side effects. I have faith in homeopathy because I cured my sinus with Yoga and homeopathy few years back. I have changed my diet and started to do Yoga. I work as a Software Developer, a profession that requires a lot of focus. I have chosen this profession because it was my passion but I could never do good in this because of lack of focus. Here are few symptoms that I have and few things I have observed throughout my life about myself:
1) I could never concentrate on studies in my life.
2) I easily get distracted.
3) I procrastinate and my procrastination is so chronic that I even keep thinking about any useless thing during my exams.
4) I do not do what I ought to do. I will never be present. If I have to do ‘Study’ then my mind wants me to do ‘Laundry’ but when I have to ‘Laundry’ my mind will force me to do something else.
5) I do not give up and I try harder and harder. I make sticky notes and tell myself that I will study for 10 minutes but I would hardly complete 10 seconds, and this is the exact number.
6) All my life I thought that I am lazy but few weeks back I posted my story on quora forum and I got response by few people that I should see a psychiatrist and this could be a neurological problem.
7) I struggled a lot in school, I failed in 11th standard and failed in 33 subjects in my Bachelor’s degree. I completed my bachelor’s degree in 6 years instead of 4 years.
8) I also struggled in all my previous jobs and was also fired from one job recently.
9) I am also not able to concentrate on the things that I like. I like playing guitar and I have been playing it for more than 8 years but still I can play only basics. As I start to learn something new, my mind starts to wander and I end up playing what I already know.
10) I do so bad at my office, I literally crawl. I get overwhelmed seeing too many things and my to-do list keeps growing.
11) I am feeling frustrated, I tried to manage things by noting them down, trying to organize things from so many years but nothing is working for me. I also try to follow organizing methods, with these methods I started partially managing my things over the years.
12) Even when I am giving interviews at that time I should focus on that interviewer is saying, I keep thinking of something else and when they do cross questions about what they said , I could not able to answer them.
13) I can never complete things on time.
14) Before always I used to miss buses, arrive late at office but now I am mostly on time. I get late when I have an excuse to be late.
15) I do not enjoy life, even on weekends. All I do is studies; I sit from morning to evening but the result is zero.
16) I am always comfortable in doing what I already know, but I procrastinate when I have to learn something new or something that requires mental ability.
17) I get afraid seeing too many things, everything jumbles up in my mind and then it leads to procrastination. Then I just don’t want to do it.
18) I skim words, I do not read them. I will tell myself that I have to read, I will start with reading and soon I will start skimming in next few seconds.
19) Even when I do yoga and meditation, I keep thinking of something else.
20) I used to smoke a lot but I have stopped smoking from past 3 years and have not smoke a cigarette.
21) I drink and I like drinking alcohol. I often drink to get deep sleep. I can consume heavy amount of alcohol and will be fine. It naturally does not affect me much. I stay in my senses. I also have the capacity to consume heavy dosage. Once, I was given anesthesia by doctors but I got up in between of the procedure.
22) I completely understand my mental situation but I am not able to control it.
23) I move legs. When I talk on call I play guitar.
24) It’s hard for me to get sleep but from past few weeks I am maintaining a tight sleep schedule. But If I get up in the night for something, random thoughts race through my mind and I am not able to sleep after that.
25) I want to tell my things. I am not a active listener.
26) I get bored easily and start yawning even after a good sleep.
27) I am always inattentive.
28) I have learned to copy things rather than understanding them.
29) I always do multitasking, and it leads me in trouble.
30) I face hard time remembering routes and directions.
31) I have difficulty in understanding multiple instructions. Especially in telephonic conversations.
32) I struggle keeping my short term memory alive.
33) I keep thinking about unnecessary things.
34) I also have poor decision making and judgement, I struggle to judge a high catch and always miss the ball. I am also not able to make quick decisions about anything, even in buying small things.
35) I am a sane guy. Like I do have depression about my careers and future but I do not have suicidal tendencies and there will never be like that because I have too many responsibilities.
36) I am happy with my relationships with everyone. Everyone my family, friends and lover love me and care for me and I do the same.

I am worried about my job these days. I don't want to lose my job. and also want to progress in future and want to be productive.

Help me finding a solution.

Thank You

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Take a dose of Sulphur 200 in the morning. Do not eat or drink sour articles. Report after one week.

telescope 7 years ago
Constipation/addiction to sugar, tea, coffee, sensitive to cold. Tall/short , thin
Light sleeper, nervous, talkative

Are you above?

Never mind your long post gives you away.

Check your prakriti at holisticonlin. Com and report scores.

Adhd is a vayu-vata excess disorder.

No white sugar, tea, coffee for you. All poisons for you.

Sour, salty, sweet are the tastes for you.

No pungent, bitter, astringent.

Start with triphla and aloevera.

Vata reducing diet.As your digestion improves so would you.

Take satvik Vata shamak diet.

Warm, oily diet.

After a month only when digestion gets normal , start ashwagandha and vacha.

Diet change alone may get you better .Best cooking oil for you is pure sesame oil.

Teupne:

Thank You,
I have stopped sugar, tea, pungent, bitter, astringent starting today.

1) I found this, and I guess it's the same I have to follow

https://www.banyanbotanicals.com/info/ayurvedic-living/livin....

2) I usually eat raw vegatables, Can't cook Indian food because my American roommate doesn't like the smell of spices.

3) I am using triphala guggulu from patajali from past 3-4 months, can I use that?

4) I will try to stop coffee, this is the only thing that gets me going in the morning, without it, I am nothing and will not be able to do anything in office entire day. It somehow does something to me. I stay focused for about 20-30 minutes after a cup of coffee. and my rest of the day goes unproductive.

5) After telescope's assessment after a week of taking sulphur 200c, I will order ashwagandha and vacha and medicines that telescope asks me to.

6) Ordered aloevera.

Thank You

Triphla guggul is good for you but it is not primarily Triphla.

Do take Triphla also. 5-10 gms a day.Homemade is best.

Link is correct.

Coffee is a big no. Leave it for good.

Try ginger, basil tea instead. Excellent for you.

No raw food for you.

You have low digestive fire. Take cooked food with vata reducing spices.

Teupne 7 years ago
Homeopathic medicines come in liquid or globules, I do not know about sprays.
As it is liquid in your case put 2 or 3 drops in half a cup of mineral water, stir well and drink.
Do not eat or drink anything both 30 minutes before and after taking medicine.

Hi neetigya

Do not try ayurveda along with homeopathy .Try only one first. If that fails try the other.

Teupne 7 years ago
Telescope:

got it. Thank You

Teupne : Got it. So I am just gonna change the diet, means not taking tea, coffee and all because it takes a while to get into the habit but I will not be consuming Ayurvedic medicines with homeopathic treatment.

Thank you both.

Hi...I reviewed your posts and noted the theme of your concerns centre around Concentration Difficult especially during study...Sleeplessness from an active mind...the Desire for Alcohol and Coffee and previously Cigarettes..when it comes to doing actual Work there is an aversion...avoidance...procrastination...to do Mental work.

I also note on previous posts you had issues with lipomas or fatty accumulations.

In my opinion Nux V.. would be a remedy best suited to you.

I would suggest Nux V 200C..

Take a small bottle of water...pour out one quarter of it...add 3 pellets of Nux V and shake well.

Pour your Nux V solution into a shot glass and sip 3 times a day for 3 days...then Stop...wait 2 weeks and see how you feel...if you feel improvement ...do Nothing...let the remedy run it's course...only repeat if you feel yourself slipping back....if symptoms change repost for further instructions.

Note...before you pour out your solution..shake the bottle well each time...store it away from sunlight and heat...in a fridge is fine.

Stay away from coffee and alcohol..

Follow the previous posters diet suggestions...

Be patient...the remedy should help you focus better and relieve other mental and physical symptoms.

PS...this has been a handicap for you for a long time...but in spite of it you persevered and managed to get your degree....this is something you can be very proud of...I give you my heartfelt congratulations and wish you the very best.
