Homeopathy Help on a Case?

Hello,

I am currently a student of homeopathy BUT where I am just learning, I don't trust myself yet with the 'correct' remedy. I am hoping for a little insight to the case.

I have a remedy that I think fits this case. I don't want to bias this post, so I won't post what I think it is yet. I also have a remedy that is a close runner up. I am wondering if any excellent minds on this forum wouldn't mind throwing out their thoughts on this case. I would very much appreciate it!

CASE:

Chief complaint of hoarseness for two years. The hoarseness began around 21 years old after she contracted a lung infection (she is not sure exactly what she had). Fluid built up in the left lung which needed to be drained. She was hospitalized for 15-20 days and treated with medications for six months after. This has been the only unwell period in her life.

Occupation: teacher and when she talks (exerts her voice) it stresses her vocal cords and remains horse. The current bout of hoarseness is the longest she has experienced (two months). The hoarseness is worse after she has a cold, which is normally with the change of seasons. Also worse when exerting voice. No pain in throat.

Her general temperament is irritated/easily angered. Describing her temperament before her marriage she said she was easily irritated. After her marriage she thinks she is more patient, but on closer observation she still experiences irritability, just doesn't show it. When she describes her temperament as a child, she said that she was friendly but could get angry at times at family (never friends).

She is sensitive to elderly people's sufferings. She will worry about the health of her parents or in-laws and feels helpless about this. She is worried that something will happen, thus, feels insecure that no one will take care of her and her children.

She reports dreams about a black dog or dark coloured dog jumping in front of her, falling from a staircase and slipping on a staircase. She also reports when she is very tired, she will dream that she needs to urinate, but in her dream can not urinate. The end result will be that she will involuntarily urinates in her bed.

No cravings or aversions to food; she's "not choosy" about food (no dislikes, will eat anything available).

She tolerates cold temperatures better, but will get uncomfortable (very cold) if it's extremely cold (i.e. air conditioning).

She reports that she will shout and start to tremble if she is startled (i.e. something falls, a door bangs)

She will sweat in the summer mostly on the forehead and underarms. The sweat sometimes leaves a yellowish mark on her clothes and mostly goes away with washing (not all though).

Thank you so much!

Causticum was my backup remedy. The remedy that I thought it was was Phosphorous.

Would it be possible for you to explain why you chose Causticum instead of Phosphorous?
