Valuable help

Good evening

Our cat has a problem with tooth abscess, thus, he was given Hepar Sulphur 6CH, once daily for 10 days, along with Merc Sol 30CH (also once daily), so that he's able to eat. Although the abscess subsided, some other symptoms emerged. He had watery eyes and small pimples on his chin. Both of these complaints were issues he had faced in his past with allopathic medications (rhinotracheiitis and skin allergy issues). Were these due to the potency used?
Due to albuminuria and pus in urine with low specific gravity, we decided to give Merc Corr, as a remedy similar to his urine symptoms. For three days he was given 30CH potency, that we discontinued, due to the fact that he seemed to be in pain, not when touched at the kidney area. Then he was then given 6CH three times daily for 10 days, which he tolerated better. What happened with 6CH was that his urinalysis was somehow corrected (not the pus, though), however he presented with a sporadic cough. Last year he had chest X-rays, for which the allopathic vet told us that he had previously been through pneumonia or asthma, never having signs. There is also a suspicion of oesophagitis, due to multiple anesthesias and antibiotics that he had received within a short period of time by his vet. Visits to his vet completely blocked his system, and many issues occured that we had to face after that, when at first all we had to deal with was a small jaw fracture that was not even diagnosed to begin with. It was later successfully treated with homeopathy (symphitum, hypericum etc), from homeopathic vet. He has also received Hepar Sulph 200CH in the past (by a homeopath, before we find a homeopathic vet), to treat a secondary infection of the skin of his jaw and face, which was successfully treated. His urine also were better at that period, although some pus remained. Just to understand how much damage was done by multiple visits/ anesthesia/ antibiotics, for the past months he cannot eat wet food (he licks his paw and face when eating, although his mouth is clear of infection/ sores- could the problem be somewhere lower e.g. throat/ oesophagus?). He does not have problem with dry food, and he does not vomit. He also seems to be uncomfortable when given probiotics (gastritis?), without diarrhea. He also has signs of crystals in the urine and pus, with no blood. We were told he has chronic cystitis (when on his sand, he strains to start urination). Just a summary of his current issues.

The question is: is he proving the remedies given? In this case, would he need to be antidoted and completely change remedy, or just change potency and/ or frequency? Could it be a predictable aggravation of old symptoms that came to surface? In this case, do we continue with the remedies given and adjust potency/ frequency, or do we change remedy, based on the new symptoms?

We know it is difficult for anyone to answer thoroughly online, however, all we are asking for is some guidance, since right now he does not have a homeopathic vet. She had to retire due to a serious health issue, not allowing her to get on the plane and visit him 500 km away. We are on search for a new vet. All we want is to provide him some temporary relief, till we find a new vet, any help and advise is welcome.

Thanks for the understanding

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I see Hepar and Merc being given together. Hepar anti dotes MERC. So the combination may not work correctly.

If there is medicinal aggravation or proving due to sensitivity, dose needs to be diluted using plussing method.

If the medicine is wrong or only gives very little relief but causes unwanted symptoms, either it needs to be anti doted if the symptoms are really troubling or another remedy needs to be chosen with the new symptoms included.

If the old symptoms return while generals like energy, mood and sleep improve, nothing needs to be done and the medicine should be let to act.

Thank you for your answer.
Because cough seemed to bother him, we gave him Hep Sulph to antidote what we thought were the bad effects of Merc Corr (stupid, I know). He was first given Hep Sulph 6CH, one dose daily for two days, and he did not have any cough, but he seemed to have some random breathing difficulty. Because we were cautious for pneumonia, we gave him hep Sulph 30CH, so as to prevent secondary bacterial inflammation, more suppuration etc. After Hep Sulph 30CH, for some hours he did not seem very well, he had cough and he sometimes seemed to have breathing difficulty after short exercise. Before taking Hepar or Merc, he was fine, no such issues occured.
We took him to his allopathic vet, who examined him thoroughly and could not find absolutely nothing wrong with him. All the respiratory system seems fine (upper and lower), his heart sounds fine, his abdomen is great, he does not have fever.
Now, in late evening, he seems better. He ran, without signs of discomfort. Since we have used Hepar before, in a prescribed scheme by a homeopathic vet for abscess, it seems that Hepar was not the medication responsible for drainage of his tooth abscess, since now, after Hep Sulph 6CH and 30CH, he seems not to be able to swallow and something seems to bother him.
If you need any further information, i would be glad to send more.
We are just puzzled as for how we proceed to his treatment. Do we need to antidote Hepar with Silica? Would it be dangerous, considering that he recently had Merc Corr and it could still be working in his energy, since Silica and Merc are inimical?

Thank you for your time

Silica can follow Hepar. So need not worry about past Merc. doses. Unless Merc. and Silica are immediately used there is not going to be problem.

But we need to first make sure if silica would be fine.

Still is there pus and abscess? or has it fully drained?
