Depression problem

Hey all, 4 years ago I had an incident with laced marijuana which has messed me up to this day. I met a doctor who got me on a ssri for 2 years until I couldn't handle the side effects any longer and went off of it. Long story short. Now I'm struggling and discovered homeopathy. I looked up a nauturopath and met 2 weeks ago, had a 2 hour sit down about every little problem I have. The main issues I'm having is fatigue, depression, felling brain fog, taste and smell weakening. I got paired with lycopodium. I started taking it 5 days ago. I'm taking 3 pellets a night under tongue before bed. I took it the first two days and I'm having adverse effects to it, a lot of emotions running through, ups and downs, irritability, short temper at moments in the morning, sadness at night, some fear.
So I told the naturopath about it and they said to not take it on the 3rd day, after not taking it I went back to my baseline. Then yesterday (4th day) I was instructed to continue it, I've taken it yesterday and today so far and back to the same symptoms again but slightly better. I updated the naturopath today and they said the lycopodium seems to be working....
I'm just here to double check with you guys if everything seems to be fine.

I haven't really asked too much about how these medicines work. Are you supposed to have weird symptoms when you first take it?

How long of a period should you take it for?

How long until things get better?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Also I would like to ask how do these homeopathic medicines work, and how do they work in the brain. Do they effect neurotransmitters? I clearly did damage from the laced weed to my brain chemistry and my mind keeps wondering all day the right method of therapy...

Dear driven,

There is no way your question can be answered well-it would take a book.

Homeopathy is not like western medicine-
Western meds are based on mostly supressing
Symptoms . Homeopathy works bc it is based
On the fact that the body will not tolerate 2 of the same disease states.
"Like cures like." When a remedy matches close enough to your symptoms-
(And keep in mind most potencies of remedies are highly diluted to the point they are nothing more than a molecular imprint)... the body recognizes
That this is SIMILAR.. to the disease or out of balance state.

The body reacts to this SIMILAR by raising your life force to clear out the remedy and at same time clears out the real disease. Your life force does the work and it has intelligence- it follows a pathway in clearing.

Please google drluc.com and start reading his basic
Education lectures to understand more. Also some naturopaths have very little homeopathy training- many tend to give remedies
Over and over like they give vitamins.

Lycopodium is a long acting remedy- I do not know what potency the naturo path is giving you, maybe too low as it should not have to be repeated that often- read drluc on aggravations- you will understand more.

Really appreciate the response. I'm on the 30c right now of lycopodium. Today was day 4 I believe of taking it andits been kind of a break through, feeling very well (better than all other days while taking it) all day even though I've had a stressful one, I have no fear taking it again tonight.

Basically I want to be very cautious and even double check the naturopaths work by asking around if the dosage and the frequency of times I take it is safe/correct...

The potency and amount of doses is individual to each person and is adjusted by your response.

For every remedy you can google materia medica for(put in remedy name)
See all the mental and physical things it can be given for.
When you have a response good or bad that means it has activated your life force - normal procedure is to wait for a week or two weeks to see changes and then evaluate next dose, potency and remedy.

Length of time for cure depends on many things,
Such as your own level of health, how many times
Disease got suppressed by other meds, etc.

More is not better- example :patient had cough,
Took 2 doses of drosera 30c, felt better- was following directions on the bottle(never do that!) which said take 4x a day.
They took dose 3 and then all symptoms returned.
They had to wait for that to wear off and then better- they did not need anymore.

It seems this is working for you- I suggest you stop and wait
To see if improvement continues- take another dose when you feel stalled and as time goes on you will need less and less with gaps further apart.

Read drluc to get educated on basics.

A little update.

Ive been taking the Lyc 30c nightly for 2 weeks now, have seen improvements in certain areas but also dislike quite few things.

Mood has gotten better but also still have those moments of bipolar, strong fear of nothing, very irritable in the noon with body aches.

Ever since my laced incident I have become extremely sensitive to any medication I intake. I am feeling quite a bit spaced or drugged throughout the day, and my edge of focus and alertness isn't quite there while on the Lyc. My job demands those things and this is where my problem sits.

I'm wondering if I stay on this another 2 weeks like I assume my natp wants if it will make a difference or not...what if I get off it for a while, can I come back to it later?
