Chronic Cough in 3 year old

My daughther is 3.5 years old and has a severe cough since the past few days. It started out a few days ago - she woke up with a very metallic sounding cough. Later that evening the cough seemed to get worse but without the metallic sound - Just constant cough. She has been active for the most part - has lost a little bit of appetite. she used to get a fever at about 2-3pm and 2-3am everyday for 3-4 days. The coughing got unbearable and the doctor has prescribed antibiotics which she is on now. The fever has gone away but the cough is still there. It seems like a cough because of some kind of irritation. I have been using chestal but it does not seemed to have helped. Shes into her 3rd day of antibiotics and the cough sometimes wakes her up from her sleep. She has been very prone to coughs since she has joined daycare and every time the doctors prescribe antibiotics. I have tried various other homeopathic remedies - some of thme have worked others have not. In extreme cases I have resorted to using antibiotics. Could somebody help in diagnosing the problem and suggesting remedies to get her better. Thanks

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Some symptoms/factors that may be useful
- Her nose seems stuffy, snores while sleeping since the last couple of days.
- couple of red spots/bumps almost alway sappear around her mouth/cheek whenever she has a cough.
- dctor said she was congested in the chest.
- bryonia 6x was given a couple of days but no difference.
- never feels cold while sleeping always kicks away the blanket.
- Live in northeast USA - weather has changed quite drastically over the past weeks. also maybe pollen season.
- there was a foul smell comng from her mouth before the antibiotics started.

Thanks for any help.

ok---single dose (3 pellets ) camphor 30c--repeat 2 hours later (2 pellets) camphor 30c...in evening...last dose before sleep..

--this to be in morning followed with single dose (3 pellets) sulphur 30c...no repetition..

stop antibiotics--start using probiotitc supplementation (udo's choice supper 5) or evivalent..

child is to AVOID ; ALL sweets;all refined white flour products..milk and milk products...

will need supplement vitamin a;c;zinc _BUT wait until note response or lack of response from sulphur

P.S.

sulphur is to be administered next morning after camphor..

take note of stool/stool-ing/urine/urination characteristics...as well as glands affected...color of tongue...
