11 year old Dog - Arthritis in both hind and Front right leg

I have a 11 year old Labrador retriever female. She has painful arthritis in back legs and one front leg.
There are days when she is fine, goes for a walk, however there are days when she plays a little or climbs down a couple of stairs or bed/ sofa, she gets severe pain in her legs.
When the pain starts she is unable to move, drags herself because she cant pick herself up or put pressure on her hind legs.
But when her three legs pain she is in worse condition cause she is not even able to drag herself as her front leg troubles her in dragging also.
She is on various maintenance allopathic medicines like Flex up, Reflex etc but I was looking for a little better solution here . I do understand arthritis is not curable but maybe something which can help her, if you can advise.

Hi, Though I am giving the prescribed medication and will continue with that, wanted to check if there is anything I can give as pain relieve for the days when she suffers from major pain bout. There are days when she gets extreme pain and is unable to move also , is there anything for those emergencies . Kindly suggest

Can you please let me know whether Gels and Mag Phos together given every morning helped her in any ways in her pain. Are there more movement or more days she is better.

I believe I had seen an improvement by following the earlier recommended medicine and dosage. The latest bout of pain is because she wanted to sit on sofa when I was not at home, and jumped down from there. Her veterinarian had mentioned that she is not supposed to jump or take stairs etc so I avoid all of that, however this time she did jump from sofa/bed when I was not at home which suddenly aggravated the pain in her front right and hind right legs a lot.

Please continue with Gelsemium 30 and Mag Phos 6x, every day in the morning.

In the evening, please give Symphytum 30 and Calc Phos 6x, each four tablets, every day.

It is good, if you can respond with the changes after 2 or 3 days.

Hi Reva

Thanks for the earlier recommendations, I am continuing with Gelsemium 30 and Mag Phos 6x regular dosage.

I also wanted to check that considering she is about 11 years plus now and the general conditions which is seen is labs post this age, is there any maintenance medicines that I can use for her general well being. Labradors are susceptible to various health ailments. She already has arthritis. If there is a medication which I can start which will help in maintaining her health or minimizing the health problems associated with age.

I would really be grateful for the response

I recommend NEM (Natural Egg Shell Membrane), if you can get it in the county you life and you are willing to spend. This tends to warm the blood and help with joints health.

Otherwise, I can recommend you an equivalent Homeopathic medicine. Please let me know

Kindly recommend the Homeopathic medicine please. Also, she also has a start of cataract in her eyes now, and her general activites and energy has decreased to minimal is what I can observe. If you could kindly recommend an overall wellbeing medicine for her health which will help her in her old age

Please stop Gelsemium and Mag Phos. It must have done its good for now. It can be restarted if necessary later.

For now, please give Nux Vomica 30, one dose in the evening on Thur, Friday and Saturday of each week. Please report on general energy after a week of this dose. You should preferably stop after 3 weeks and report back

Hi Reva

Need your urgent help. For the same dog, she is now 11.5 years. She was in a lot of pain in her hind leg and was given two rounds of injections in last three weeks. Since last week she lost her appetite, she starting vomiting and passing loose stool for last 2 days. She was given a drip yesterday with multiple injections like Rantac and 4 others( I cant read the handwriting , have attached the document). Her blood report today shows bad state of kidney and liver (atleast that's what I understood, will upload the reports later). She is not eating , drinking and still vomiting around 4 to 5 times in a day, shivering in a normal temperature also

Can I please ask if any medicine can be suggested to control this

Please give Nux Vom 30c, every four hours and see whether he is able stand the room temperature. As the internal heat is increasing with Nux Vom 30 he can start eating and improve. Please update often.
