Excessive sleepiness. Attn : Kadwa

Good afternoon:

I have been feeling good physically and had no tiredness for 8months. In the last week of September I got a head cold, with fever, and sinus issues but no infected mucous. I had constant throat clearing until mid October. I finally started to feel better and the cold, went away. Around the second week of November I started feel daytime sleepiness , drowsiness and yawning. It continues, somedays better, some worse. It's hard for me to get up in the morning. I am a female 47 from NY, all
Lab tests normal as well as hormonal panel. I had extensive blood work done. I don't look tired but I am. I am also feeling alittle sad lately. Chest heaviness.
Any suggestions, nothing hurts I just feel like I can doze off. Thanks

Hello Dr. Kadwa:

My issue is with feeling down now for over 3 years. I have gotten almost back to myself and then relapsed a bit. It's hard to get up in the morning, one I am up I'm good to go and function very well. I recently had a heaviness in my chest for about 8 weeks which got better. I feel like I am lacking spunk, energy, motivation. I don't cry, eat well, work, do everything but don't feel that inner happiness and upset but I don't feel sad either. I am on Paxil 15 mg but disappoint it's not working too well. Any advise thanks.

Thanks for reply, what causes me to be this way, of not able to feel ? No interaction with Paxil correct?

It happens. Void is an integral part of life and one should accept it. No interaction with Praxil.

Acid Phos should help you. Alumina is the next remedy to be considered.
