Obsessive liking tendency

Hello,

I am just wondering what kind of homeopathic personality has obsessive liking tendencies. I have a best friend of mine, who always liked someone or other obsessively - movie stars/professors/colleagues/bosses/singers – at every point of her life. It was one obsession at one point of time – never overlapped. She went to all girls school and college so until she started working it was all females. Later on it was guys. It started with her school teacher when she was in 3rd grade. Right now, she likes an Australian singer.

All her obsessions broke as she moved away or came close enough to understand the real nature of her object of obsession.

When she was under this obsessive spell, she gets immense pleasure in thinking about them/writing poems about them. She spends her entire day doing this unless she has something pressing to do. She is extremely intelligent so none of this affected her academics or career. Females that she liked, liked her back too. With guys (some of them are married) sometimes she ended up in fantasies though never acted on it.

She lacked love and affection in her life. Her mother was very bad to her and she never experienced motherly affection. Her husband had abused her mentally during initial stages of her marriage and even though he changed now she never got to like him back. After marriage she had two obsessions, second one being the current one (Australian singer).

What kind of constitution could this be? Is this considered a disease?

Thanks in advance..
