C5 C6 disc protrusion causing facial tingling

Hello,
I am 30year old male.On Nov 2015 due to lifting heavy suitcases to the third floor of a building, I started to have pain radiating to the right palm along with tingling and numbness in the right hand.I did not take any medications as I did not take it seriously. In September 2016, while
running on the treadmill, the pain started to radiate to the back of the head. The orthopedic doctor suggested an MRI of the cervical spine. The MRI report reading was "C5-6 shallow posterior and right paracentral disc protrusion abutting thecal sac and mildly narrowing right neural foramen".I consulted a physiotherapist and an orthopedic doctor who said that it is very minor bulge and they consider the cervical spine to be "almost normal".
I am now taking homeopathy medications from a doctor near my house from last 7 months. The pain radiating to the hand has come down by 80 percent. But when I bend the neck say to cut vegetables,to write down something or when I turn my neck sideways when sleeping on my stomach,I am continuing to have severe tingling from the neck to the back of the head, scalp and face as well.I also feel shock like sensation behind the right ear accompanied with sweating on forehead with little warmth spreading from neck to the chest. The physiotherapist and allopathy dr think that it is a psychological thing which I completely disagree.I am certainly sure that it is from my neck. Its been 7 months since I started homeopathy but not finding any relief with respect to the pain radiating up towards the head.I wanted to know whether homeopathy medicines provide complete cure for pinched nerves in the neck which causes tingling and pain in the head.

Hello John
Thank you for replying to my query.
I have got the X-Ray of my neck done. The doctor told me that it is absolutely fine and no problem with alignment of vertebrae in the neck.
I am having this neuralgia pain to the right side of my head mostly when moving my neck.I can feel pricking pain in the right side of my neck.Is there a complete cure for cervical disc protrusion in homeopathy or does it relieve pain temporarily?
Also do I need to wear collar belt and limit the range of neck movement or can I continue exercising the neck by moving it up and down, sideways and rotating clockwise and anticlockwise slowly?

It's frustrating as I am not able to know the exact cause. The physiotherapist and orthopedics doctor brushed it away saying it is a very minor bulge and I am being overly sensitive to the pain and infact told me to consult a psychologist as they think it is more to do with the mind.
Is it possible that the MRI scan does not give accurate understanding of the problem?I am convinced that the pain is arising from my right side of the neck though the doctors seem to think it is purely psychological.I do not know how to get rid of this pain :(

go to known quality chiropractor and get an adjustment..just do thi s1st before spinning about speculations..homoeopathy will help with the sensations you are experience..as long as no physical misalignment of cervical/thoracic/lumbar exist..the bulge is dubious (not knowing if a normal physical aspect of your being or not).. get to chiropractor as mentioned then we can continue...

Hi,
The neck pain can also be from minor bad habits over time and then not knowing you are still doing them. I have known many with this problem,
From sleeping in bad position, wrong pillow, "text"neck pains happening in a lot of young people, reading in bed, having computer at even minor wrong heights, etc.

After a certain amount of months "repeating"
These things will keep you from relief. It is not psychological.

1. You could wear a collar to just keep you alert
To keep the neck in right position for a time.
2. Sleep 😴 n your back with neck supported
And pillow under knees. Sometimes you have to bolster yourself
In sleep bc you will find you wake up and in totally different positions.
3.even if you go to a good chiropractor (if you do not do the above)
The neck will pain again.
4. Find a well trained shiatsu massage person-
They work the spine with clothes on and they have months of training
On spine flow- or a really good acupressure massage person.
5. Endeavor to allow sitting 3 hours a day.
At least get up and move every hour and
Watch your posture. You will start to notice
Relief.

Hello John,Simone
I was wearing a collar belt for a few months. It did provide relief to a certain degree.
I could not find any chiropractor in the place where I stay.I am doing yoga and neck exercises.I also have L4 L5 disc bulge with pain radiating to right toe.I cannot sit or stand for long time.I am taking homeopathy medicines, doing yoga, drinking lots of water along with turmeric as it is supposed to be anti inflammatory.I sleep with a rolled towel under my neck with no pillow and a leg wedge under my leg.I sleep on my back throughout the night.
The yoga is helping my lumbar disc issue, but the tingling in the Scalp due to pinched nerve in the neck is not reducing.
As I cannot sit for long time,I do a lot of reading lying on my back and with neck slightly bent down.Is this bad for the neck?
Does homeopathy cure pinched nerves in the neck completely?

Hi,
Reading on back-? huge no. Bending the neck
Down - huge no. These are repetitive motions that injure the neck.
Once you stop them the neck will begin to heal- remedies will help. The neck
Area not flowing will affect your entire spine.

You have to find another way / like sit up in bed,
With support and something at eye level to read.

I remember reading one of the old masters( maybe hahnemann) who wrote
Over 100 years ago that people who read in bed will not get healed.

Thanks for the info Simone. Will stop reading lying on my back.
I have been having intense itching, prickling feeling in the head which lasts a few seconds on moving my neck. Also,I am beginning to feel pricking pain behind the eye when I move the neck.
Is there a cure for this nerve irritation?

Anyonya 6 years ago
The irritation is more when there is gas build up in the stomach. The irritation is relieved after belching. Also cold pack around the neck reduces the irritation.

Anyonya 6 years ago
Are you taking any remedies now?

The cold pack on neck reduces nerve inflammation.
You can do that often. The neck/ brain stem can affect many nerves in the spine , which is why pain or relief from belching
Seems unrelated. It is all about nerve flow,
So your habits are like putting a heavy rock on the main electric house circuit
Which compresses wires, and then one wonders why the lights flicker or
Why they go out in random rooms.

It will take about 10 days of Not doing previous habits to notice healing-
You can take cell salts, ferrum phos 6x, cal phos 6x, kali phos 6x,
3 tabs of each , 4 x a day for 4 days and see if that helps-Kali Phos is a nerve nutrient, cal phos helps with numbness and digestion, ferrum phos provides more red blood cells. You also need to take a brisk walk or aerobic
Movement at least for a half hour a day to get blood moving.

Thanks Simone.
I have ordered a cervical memory foam pillow online.Back to wearing collar belt.I remove the collar belt for a brief amount of time and do neck excercises.
I am taking homeopathy medicines from a doctor near my place. She does not tell me the name of the medicines though. She adds few drops of medicines from multiple bottles into a small plastic container having round sugar pills. She then gives it to me after shaking the container to have homogeneous distribution of the medicines inside the container.
I am supposed to take the pills thrice a day for a week and then report back to her a week later. Not finding much relief though.
Will stop doing previous habits which reduces the healing chances of the neck as you mentioned. Thanks for the advice.
Will report back to you after a week or so.

I would not go to anyone who will not tell you exactly what you are putting into your body. Since you have no idea, and it could be phos or some other remedies that do not work with the cell salts?
I would stop what you are using and just use the cell salts only- do not do both.
