strange buzzing feeling in head

I just found this site yesturday and am wondering if anyone can help me. I am a 29 year old woman and for the last two years I have a strange buzzing or vibrating feeling in my head. It seems to come in cycles. Usually in the spring and summer. It just started again five days ago. I wonder if it is some sort of sinus/allergy issue. I had an mri and I did have a cyst in my brain, but they said it was probably unrelated. I suffer from periodic migranes. I don't know if that is related. I get migranes all year long though. Sometimes with the vibrating there is a dull headache, but not usually. It is distracting and makes me feel weepy and tired. I don't know if anyone has any ideas, but I thought I would try. Thanks a lot.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Madam, however, you have not mentioned about your physical structure that is an essential part of the diagnosis. Nevertheless, I would like to suggest you Arnica 30 (a homoeopathic remedy) to be taken early in the morning one hour before brushing and break-fast. Take this remedy at least for one week then inform me soon. Mind one thing that no other remedy whether it is homoeopathic or allopathic should be taken in this duration. God bless you!

Thank you Dr. Kumar for replying to my post. I'll tell you a little bit more about myself. I am 29, a mother of two children (one 5 and one 2). The two year old is still nursing occasionally. I am a vegetarian and mildly overweight. Fair skin, dark hair. My blood work has shown low iron. I tend to get cold easily. I also get very cranky if I get hungry or don't eat a well balanced diet. This is the eigth straight day of the vibrating. It fluctuated from being almost gone to being extremely distracting and slightly disorienting. A lot of mild to moderate nausea with it. I feel tired and wiped out... Like I'm falling apart. I have been a little stressed / anxious / despressed lately. Now the vibrating has been evolving to include more headaches. I had a terrible migrane last night. They are better with lying down with no light and sound. The migrane was mostly right sided and that area felt a little numb or warm. All symptoms seem to get worse as the day goes on. Rubbing my head helps with the migrane but not the vibration. The vibration is on the top of my head mostly. I tend to crave sweets. The thought of meat grosses me out. My doctor was also concerned because she found some trace blood in my urine on a number of occasions, so now they want to do a cystoscopy and ct scan. I doubt that it is anything because my father also has trace blood in his urine and these tests showed nothing to worry about. Maybe genetic? Let me know if you need any other info, and thank you so much for attempting to help me. I don't want to go the allopathic route, but I also don't have the $350 that the local homeopath charges for an initial visit. Should I skip my multivitamin while on the Arnica? It does have some herbs included in the ingredients.

Madam, you don't worry, may take Arnica 3o at least for one week. Viamins might be taken with it. Please note one thing that cold and chilly water should not be taken in your daily routine diet. It might cast adverse effect on your body. I have noted all the contents of your narration and would consider your case more attentively. First, you take Arnica 30 and tell me its results just after a week.
Wishing you all the best,
Dr. Kumar

Thank you Dr. Sharma. I will try that if the Arnica doesn't work. Dr. Kumar, do I take the Arnica just once daily? 4 tabs at a time?

jillrae last decade
Yes, of course, you must take a single dose of Arnica 30 daily. Four globules (pills)at a time might be taken. But remember that the remedy should be taken early in the morning two hours before brushing your teeth. No frugrant/scented edibles should be used just two hours before and after the medicine has been taken. Uncooked (raw)onion shouldn't be eaten during the treatment.

Thank you so much Dr. Sharma. The buzzing and the headaches are gone. I can't believe it. What do I do if it comes back? Arnica again? Thank you for all of your help.

jillrae last decade
Yes, Arnica 30 might be taken if any recurrence is there.

I have just discovered this site and I too suffer buzzing in the head. I am 55 with 2 adult sons. I was on a diet during the summer months and by end of July the buzzing had begun, mainly in the left side of my head. It becomes particularly unbearable at night (and that is not imagination). My forehead gets very hot, again more so on the left temple and I feel a 'numbness' in my left eye & nose areas. I do not have headaches with it. I developed high blood pressure for the first time because of the constant pressure from the buzzing and I am now on 1 tablet of 4mg Coversyl per day. I do have Arnica 30C and wondered if it would work for me, even though my symptoms are slightly different to the other lady. Also would I have to stop taking the Coversyl for a week while taking the Arnica? Tonight while standing in a queue, I became very dizzy and had to/have to sit down. Anyone out there, please help me.

Hi, I was really interested in your message because I have a buzzing, fuzzy headed feeling too. I have also had this for about 2 years and I'm still not sure of the cause. It bothers me a lot and I don't feel like I can think clearly when I have it. I am 32 years old and the doctors have made me feel like I'm making it up. I had retinal migraine as a child and still occassionaly get migraines, but they don't seem to be linked. I have currently had the feeling for about a week and a half. It comes and goes, but is usually in the frontal lobe area. It is definitely not about stress. I'm interested in what might be the cause of the problem.

Donna, I have found the answer myself, believe it or not.....and I have also found the 'cure'. My problem was due to energy bounce-back,but my Guides tell me that your problem is quite different and NOT serious. I am told to advise you to go for a brain scan, although your problem is an ear one, which is the only way to find the problem...an ENT Specialist would not find it with a routine check of your ears, etc. Your problem is fixable, so chin up!
May the Angels always carry you on their wings! S.

Hello I am suffering from something very similar. There is a constant buzzing as well as some sort of surg or wobble in its intensity. I get the feeling that doctors think its a mental illness and it may very well be but i'll need convincing. There is no mental illness in my family or in my past. This is starting to scare me as it is getting worse as time goes on and I don't see any relief in the near future. Can anyone suggest anything that may help. Thank you

Paladin--

I too have the exact same thing. I',m 55 and male with no headaches--just buzzing which increases in intensity and surges, and when it surges, I feel a little unsteady. Its very real.

Hello Andrew, thank you for your reply. What, if anything, have you been able to do about it? or is there anything you find relief with. You and I know how real this is but all the Drs. I've seen either don't know or tell me to see a Phyco. I'm at an impasse. Thanks again

Apologies to anyone who was awaiting a reply from me - I opened a new email a/c & forgot about this one!
The buzzing in my head was caused by 'bounceback', where my Crown Chakra was jammed open & therefore an over-supply of Universal energy was flowing into my Chakras. The Heart Chakra ordinarily deals with such a flow of energy & the issues that it stirs up (in the heart). In my case, the heart did not want to deal with the old long-buried fears that were present, so it shut down, created a ring of steel around it so that I would not have to deal with the issues. The Superconscious then asked the Throat Chakra to take over the task, which it did, but alas, it was not able to do the work of the Heart Chakra, so it became all clogged up and unable to cope with the enrgy and then it too practically shut down. That meant that the enormous amounts of universal energy surging through the Crown Chakra simply hit the near-closed throat Chakra and bounced back, trying to get out the way it came in, which of course was impossible because of the constant inward flow of energy.
There is only one solution if you suffer from bounce-back buzzing in the head - contact a reputable Healer such as David Ashworth, who works with the Archangels on subtle energy flows. I owe my sanity to him and if I had not been fortunate enough to have picked up his book in the Library, I would never have known of his existence. You will find him in Google.
Hope the above is of help to you all. Good luck. scotia

I was wondering if anyone can help me...
I am a 33 year old man and for about a couple weeks now, I have a strange buzzing or vibrating
feeling in my head. It seems to come in cycles. I never usually get headaches of any kind.
It bothers me a lot and I don't feel like I can think clearly when I have it.
In the morning I feel good but as the day progresses it seems to happen more often.
When I exercise it seems to make it go away temporarily.
Sometimes with the vibrating there is a dull headache, but not usually.
It is distracting and makes me feel cranky and tired. I haven't been stressed at all lately.
I saw my doctor and he had no idea what it could be. He's sending me to get an MRI.
Anyone have any ideas what it could be?

I believe there may be a few different things causing these similar experiences. So far in my search for answers I have found relief from doing yoga just once a week and receiving support from an osteopath. The osteopath said that I was very tight in the neck region which may produce this feeling. I was diagnosed with TMJ - Temparomandibular joint disorder by a specialist which basically comes from clenching my teeth or jaw. In addition I am very bad at keeping myself hydrated and my iron levels were low. Both of these can cause difficulties concentrating too. on top of this I have really bad posture, and in my search for answers I found a website on something called Da Costa's Syndrome. This made things a lot clearer for me. Perhaps this may relate to what Dr.Kumar was referring to in response to Jillrae when he talked about physical structure. I hope some of what I have discovered over the past 2 years will be helpful to someone. The good news - it absolutely was not a mental health issue. For people interested, do a search for The Posture Theory.
All the best in finding answers and relief!

If there is a persistant buzzing/humming noise in your head, it could be Tinnitus. I am not a doctor, so I do not know much of Tinnitus, but a Google Search can help you.

I have had the same buzzing sensation in my head as well. It started with ringing in the ears and hyperacusis. Both of these symptoms have improved, but now I have buzzing in the head along with allergie symptoms. Headaches and nasal congestion. It can even hurt when I talk and my voice vibrates in my ears, and when I take a big breath in. I have never had allergies before. Is the buzzing connected with the allergies? I also, wanted to know how Arnica 30 can help this problem? When I researched this product, it said it was for swelling, bruising, sprains, strains and insect bites. Would like to know a little bit more about this product before using.
