Who wants to prescribe for 2 cats? Page 2 of 2

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Ok wait and watch and put the doses on hold until we see some improvement from current symptoms.

LisaX said My other cat is worried about him too, he's doing his checking in mannerisms and acting concerned.

What's about this cat? checking in mannerisms and acting concerned means?

What I meant is that the other cat is doing the cat equivalent of following him around and constantly asking if he's ok. My point is that even he can tell that something is off. So it's not just me, even other cats can see it.

Cats often growl or hiss when they are unwell.

How is his appetite? Is he eating ok?

If not, he may had something bad while he was out.

Ok thanks for explaining. Otherwise how is this cat who took phos. in terms of mood, energy, appetite, sleep? How many doses were given and how they were given and what potency was used?

30c, a single dose in some water. He drank some and then I took it away.

His appetite seems normal, but he's listless, and is usually sleeping.

For one thing, he misses my son. I just figured that out this morning. I already knew it mentally, but it just hit me like an epiphany that it's an actual thing he's going through that I've been dismissing as unimportant. The other cat is specifically bonded to me, but he's specifically bonded to my son, who is staying with his dad until we no longer have scabies. He doesn't know if his person is coming back. He's always happier and more energetic when my son is here, he's even more affectionate to me, like he thinks it's my fault when he's gone. He gets excited when the kids get out of school (I live across the street from my son's school) and he wants to go out and greet them. So he's pining, and probably blaming me.

There also very well might be something physically wrong with him, and I still need to take them to the vet as soon as I have the money and a way to get them there. Yesterday I tried to pick him up and he made a sound like it was hurting him when I put my hand under his belly. If he's in pain then that could explain why he growled at me before when he knew I was going to pick him up. Today I massaged his belly a little to see how he reacted, and he seemed fine. It could also be that he just really wanted to be outside that much. I wish I could let him, but I don't feel like my neighborhood is safe for them to run around in, and I can't bear the thought that anything might happen to him and I'd have to tell my son...

He's seeming more like himself today, but still kind of listless.

But I suppose sleepiness in a cat is nothing to be alarmed by. And I usually get sleepy for a while after taking a remedy myself, so maybe it's that. I've also been keeping my apartment pretty warm, because the heat makes the bugs not live as long when they're not on a host. (I've been learning more about scabies than I was ever interested to know.) Since I can't ask him what's up, the only way to find out if there's anything physically wrong with him is to take him to the vet, which will cost hundreds of dollars that I won't have until next month and would still be useful for other stuff, as well as it being a very stressful and terrifying experience for them and the medications being things that I would never take myself, so I have mixed feelings about it all around, of course I wouldn't hesitate if I knew for sure that they needed it, but most likely I would be paying hundreds of dollars just to ask, "are my cats ok?," and for them to say, "Yes, they're fine," and give them something toxic to take that probably won't even work for what it's intended for.

In happier news, I've seen nothing but improvement in the cat that took Pulsatilla. He's still scratching but only occasionally, he hasn't lost any more hair, and it looks like it's growing back in the spot where he scratched it off. An interesting side development is that he's no longer afraid of the vacuum cleaner, and also his meows sound less pitiful and pleading, and more confident and demanding. I haven't had anyone over for obvious reasons, so I haven't been able to test whether his fear of people is decreased. It was clearly a good remedy for him. He still hasn't passed the tapeworm, though. I've been slipping some diatomaceous earth into his food to help with that, too, but so far nothing.

We'll have to wait it out for a few days to see if things will improve. Though the initial mental symptoms you mentioned were not positive, sleep is somewhat positive. May be if this is not helping we can move him to Ars. Alb. This also works well for phos. symptoms. When a reputed h'path was asked what will he do if phos. was never proved and was thus not available on homeopathic repertoire and he came across phos. symptoms in his clinic, he pat answered that he will use Ars. for it closely resembles phos. symptoms. But it also came out on top in my analysis, let's see.

The second one is doing really well. Good result thus far.

And I'll try giving him that in a few more days, but I really need to figure out something I can put on these cats to kill these mites. I know this is the homeopathy forum and that's not directly the sort of question one asks, but it's really basically an emergency. You can't put anything toxic on cats because they lick it off, and they're much more sensitive to chemicals than people are. I'm not going to be able to bathe them again, in anything, because they were not ok with that and they'll see it coming the next time, and also that didn't work, they were scratching again right after it. I'm no longer sure that the mites are actually infesting the cats, they might just be biting them, like fleas will do with people, but not laying eggs or anything. There is conflicting information out there about whether or not the same species of mites can infest humans and cats, and I'm more inclined to believe the people who say they can because it sounds more like they're speaking from experience, but the cats are not showing visible signs of mange anymore, so it's possible the things are just biting them. Just throwing it out there in case anyone has any tips.

How about using neck collars for instance e-collar to prevent them from reaching the site?

Natural application i can think of are----neem/margosa oil with turmeric, tea tree oil, but these will take upto two weeks. There is not a thing can that can do the trick overnight.

Tea tree oil is toxic to cats. I even worry about putting it on myself, because of exposing them to it, but I know it's better than the alternatives. But you can't put it on cats. Or clove oil either. I think neem and turmeric are ok. I don't know what e-collar is, but I'll google it. Thanks.

Elizabethan or buster collar.

Only 100% tea tree oil is bad for cats. Less volume is not bad.
