You should search for wet dose and read different wet dose threads.
Succussion is the process where the medicinal solution is shaken gentle and firm for a fixed number of times, and during the downward motion the bottle shall gently hit against the inner side of the palm or a bound book.
What does it do? It makes sure the medicine substance is intimately mixed with water/water+alcohol based on what is used, and also releases the hidden medicinal property/energy of the substance. This is very technical. But what you need to know is succussion also slightly increases the potency. If a 30c is succussed it's no more pure 30c.....it slightly varies. It won't even become 31 let alone 200 or 300. This progressive increase of potency even only slightly makes sure the strength of the medicine is not the same so as to minimise aggravation which would be the case if the same potency is repeated again and again.
To make 30 to 31 only succussion is not enough, it also needs further dilution before succussion which is again very technical relevant for manufacturing medicines.
It only slightly increases to the degree of some decimal point.
