7 weeks pregnant with suspected UTI - dull ache in pubic area

I am 31 years old, 7 weeks pregnant with 3rd child.

I have a suspected UTI and want to avoid antibiotics.

Main symptom is a dull, throbbing ache just above the pubis, about 3 inches below belly button.
Last week for a day it was accompanied by high fatigue, nausea, trembling and achiness and frequent urination, but I was better the day after.

NO burning sensation when weeing.

I took Cantharis, Aconite. I also drank diluted apple cider vinegar through the day.
All got well again so I didn't bother going to the doctor.

Then a week later, just the dull ache returned.
I have tried Cantharis again and this time Apis too.
I am now trying Sepia because of the characteristic "sagging feeling in abdomen".
It comes on anytime, will disappear sporadically then return.

I am fatigued - not as bad as the initial episode - but this may be current heatwave/ pregnancy symptom.

Please ask whatever questions you need to know.

Thank you.

Hi,

If you are in western countries, I suggest you buy
The u t i. Test strips from the drug stores -
If they indicate bacteria then it would be wise to go to the dr and get the antibiotics so infection does not get worse- the longer it goes on you risk
Kidney infection and also it takes more doses of antibiotics and having to use different antibiotics to kill the infection.

Also, remedies can mask the infection, dull the symptoms and meanwhile the infection is getting stronger. I have
Used remedies a couple times for u t i and eventually went to the dr.
The drs told me I had severe infection and did not understand how
I was not having major pain( remedies) ..

The only way to know what is going on is to use the test strips.

"remedies can mask the infection, dull the symptoms and meanwhile the infection is getting stronger"

This worries me - I thought the whole point of homeopathy and holistic methods was to cure the root cause, not mask symptoms like a drug med.

If we can't go on symptoms, what hope have we got...

I will go to the doctor today and have my urine tested.

Anuj -

I have not heard of Sabina for UTIs

Are Sepia and Sabina definitely safe in pregnancy?

belladonna1986 5 years ago
YES THEY ARE SAFE.I SAID SABINA ONLY WHEN SEPIA FAILS TO ACT.OTHERWISE SEP SHOULD TAKE CARE OF THE PROBLEM.

Hi,
Bacterial infections can grow quickly. Remedies , if not exactly right
Can palliate, which is why when monitoring after taking - if one has to keep taking it, the homeopath knows it is palliating and not curing.

With a u t i, you do not have time to keep waiting- you need to get the test strips and check yourself to see if the bacteria level is reducing.
However, I did that with the second u t i and it was reducing and seemed gone from remedies- but after a couple days the test strips showed it was coming back- so remedies were palliating not curing.
