Eye Sty for more than a year!
Ive had a sty on the inside of my top left eyelid for more than a year now. Ive tried the hot packs and they have not worked. I havnt tried any medications. It doesnt hurt but it sometimes swells up and gets hard. Im tired of having it because it can be seen in pictures. (My eye looks lazy because of it.) Im 5 mnths pregnant at the moment. I am nearsighted on both eyes and have myopia. I was born with a really small pupil in my right eye so I had a sthincperotomy surgery. Later at 14, my right lid got lazy and I operated on it(which I wasnt too happy with the results). But Ive never had a problem with my left eye. I eat very healthy, especially now since Im pregnant and Im very active. What can I do? Also, is there something that I can do to improve my eye health(vision)?Lorena_0420 on 2006-04-11

Lorena, I have several styes on the inside of my eyelids that have been there for years. Once in awhile, one will flare up and cause irritation.
Have you heard of rubbing styes with gold?
I found out about it last year, and it worked for me. You just take a piece of smooth gold jewelry - like a gold ring or band - and kind of drag the gold across the stye. I do that about 10 - 20 times. Usually, within 20 minutes, the irritation is gone. The stye is still there, but smaller and not irritating me.
I also get styes on the rim of my lower or upper lids. The same thing works for them, and they go away completely within about 20 minutes.
Now, in your case, it might be really hard to access the stye with a piece of gold. Frankly, I have never had to do this on the inside of an upper lid.
If you do this, be sure that there are no sharp edges or points or any roughness to the gold that you use!
Anyway, it is best to try to get rid of that stye with homeopathy. So I am watching this thread for suggestions. But I thought I would pass this info on just the same.

Okay, I've read that 3 pellets of arnica disolved in 500ml water taken 1teaspoon 2x daily helps. I've never tried it, but I suppose it's worth a try.
