allergies & acid reflux (infant)

Hello, I have posted here in the past several months in regards to our son (10mos) who has had an ongoing battle with reflux. We have recently been to a naturopath who has diagnosed hime with a protein allergy. He is undergoing NAET therapy for this and we were give cuprum for his gas. Although he is not vomitting like he use to (5-8 times a day down to maybe 1x everyother day) we have the problem of the heartburn.

He will only eat when he is asleep. I think he is more relaxed and unaware of the reflux. If he happens to be awake and takes 2oz, he burps and then thats it, we can not give him anymore. He is clearly in pain and will refuse to eat. I'm wondering if there is anything that we can give him to neutrilize the stomach acids so it doesn't burn him so much?

We are currently giving him a kiddie digestive enzyme and he gets probiotics daily along with Ambretose a glyconutrient.

Any suggestions would be grateful

Ok, I will try. I happen to have some Phos in liquid form here at home. However the strength is 12LM (from our naturopath) is this strenght ok to use?

It's very hard to get the liquid form around here and I have to travel 2 hours to our naturopath. The pellets I find very difficult to give to an infant (melting) I don't believe they get the full strength.

You've sent us backwards again. After taking phos for just two days he became worse. Vomitting 3 x more than he was. We were progressing forward and now we are back to the vomitting as well as the refusal to eat.

Extrememly frustrating

I have nux in 10Lm and 18Lm liquid. What is the difference in strength from C to LM? Is what I have sufficient?

2 pellets or 1 drop of nux-v LM10 in 20 tablespoons of water--stir vigorously----give teaspoon dose ---save mix in clean bottle..---wait 2 hours---observe --if NO CAHGE AT ALL--then repeat dose after stiring or shaking bottle mix vigorously--teaspoon dose....do this at most 3 doses...CLEAR so far?

if ANY change AT ALL --whether it be a new symptom old symptom worsening or betterment --then NO MORE SUBSEQUENT DOSE..CLEAR?

When our naturopath prescribed the nux liquid we were giving full strength with no dilution of the liquid. Do you still want me to dilute?

I am not breastfeeding at this present time. He is on a lactose free formula. Our son did not so great on breast milk. I have a high protein diet and suspect given his recent diagnosis of a protein allergy that this is why he did so poorly.

Our son has had reflux in combination with what we now know is a protein allergy. Prior to a week ago he was vomitting anywhere from 3-7 times a day. As of a week ago we brought him to our naturopath who diagnosed the allergy and has started NAET allergy treatments on him. We were given cuprum as our first rememdy and if that didn't work we were to give Ipecac. Both in liquid form at full stregnth and no dilution. I believe the strength is 10LM. We noticed an improvement this week. He increased his volume of food intake from 5-6 oz to 7-8 ounce and no vomitting. Albeit that he is sleeping while he eats but before he would vomit regardless. What we notice is that he is very gassy and if he takes a couple ounces and stops to burp, we can no longer get the bottle back into his mouth. He is clearly uncomfortable. I believe from the acid going up his esophagus.

This evening after the episode of with the phos I went back to the cuprum as It had given us the most noticable change. What are your thoughts. Do you think I should still give the nux?

I should add that while our son is enduring all of this he still remains a very happy and content little boy, with great sleeping habits

I should also add that despite our efforts to feed, him vomit and us re-feeding him he has not gained a pound in over 3 months. Weight is at a stand still. I really believe that he is not absorbing his food.

AS i was writing my previous posts my husband called me upstairs (he was feeding our son) to let me know that he vomitted the entire bottle. it wasn't just one vomit, it took him several times to get everything up.

I did the nux as you suggested.

the most recent vomit was after 1 st dose of nux-v?

is this last vomitting mentioned typically howit is?several trys ?or this new way?

stop all other medicines---

John Stanton last decade
no, I gave him the nux after the recent vomit. I hadn't used the nux prior to recent vomit.

The last 2 nights he has done this at this last feed.

gurly last decade
yes, we usually spend an hour or more to try and get him to take something.

We are very concerne of his growth so when he vomits we will re-feed him so that he has something.
