anal boil / fistula

About three weeks ago after much pain an abcess appeared near my anus, it ruptured on it's own and the pain subsided. I thought the worst was over but within a day the pain was back. I went to my doctor and he lanced the abcess but again it returned....always a few hours after a bowel movement. It is now less painfull but pain and drainage continue hours after every bowel movement. Is there any alternative to surgery? My doctor says I will have to wait at least three months to se a specialist and I do not look forward to this ongoing problem. Thanks in advance for any info or advice.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Please type Fistula in the Search Forums window and read the many posts that I and others have made to help your problem.

Basically the remedies that I have recommended are Arnica 30c in the wet dose and Silicea 6x dry.

You can also use Nat Phos 6x to help your stools to be soft.

Do not ever consider surgery as I have a patient who had 6 surgeries and finally came to me and was cured.

There are 8 pages of conversations on another thread dealing with 'Anal Fistula'.
However, if you want my advice...ask me for it coz there is some difference in my approach and treatment.

Hi, At first it was a cyst possibly an ingrown hair the DR said. It broke and went away. Then it came back a little different but not bigger. It felt like a small short tube. I went to the DR he said it was a cyst and sent me to a surgeon to have it cut and drained.

The surgeon said it was a small anal fistula and wanted to operate. Well I will try anything before doing that. Under steril conditions, I made a small cut and it drained. I thought it went away but came back. So far it seems only external. Only hurts when I sit. No problems going to the bath room or blood when I do. It seems to be a single small path not deep but annoying to me. Please give me good news, can you help. I do not want to be knocked out and operated on. Any advice would be appreciated so much. I have no other medical conditions. Not allergic to anything. Always, Eric
