Enlarged Tonsils & Adenoids
I have a child 10 years old requires Tonsillectomy & Adenoidectomy due to enlarged tonsils & adenoilds.Parents prefer to try with Homeopathy before going for removal.
Age: 10 years, Height 145 cm, Country; Canada.(Italian descent) Climate: cold winter and hot summer. Weight 90 pounds Medium built.
Heavy breathing while sleeping, snoring, significant movement during sleep. During day, his mouth remains slightly open causing dry lips. Improved when using Nasal Spray (Flonase). Worse at night mainly cold months. Sweats when sleeps.
Recently had strep throat and Scarlet Fever. Craves for sweets, chips and meat.
I would appreciate your advice for remedy with dosage details.

injuries?accidents?operations?emotional traumas?trauma of any sort?

what sensitivities child have?..ie..foods;drinks;enviremental/weather;emotions;....etc---what symptos occur in response to the objects of sensitivity?please explain

Answering your questions,
Only one time this patient has used antibiotic that was last March for his Scarlet Fever. There is no any other medical history.
No history of injury or accident.
Vaccination, usual vaccination taken at birth and the last one at his 6 years of age. No illeffect of vaccination was experienced.
No sensitivity observed otherthan condition worsen at night mainly cold months. Restless sleep. Snoring at sleep. Slightly opened mouth during day times and dry lips.
There was no typical diet change over the years. The normal diet is Vegetable, meat, pasta etc.
I am not sure my answer is sufficient for you. Please post if you need any further information.

The enlarged tonsil was observed for the last over 5 years, visited specialists. Nothing was alarmed until last month. Doctors said the Tonsils were large enough for a removal.
There is no pain envolved. The size of the swelling is seen as one piece of eruption rounded up both sided of the neck.
Worsen means the restless sleep, snoring and heavy breathing. He breath through his month. Mouth is mostly open day and night.
Emotional aspect, the boy is calm and easy going type.

Sorry John Stanton good not explain well.
The size of swelling is not good enough for a measurement, but can be seen when we look at it. Its look like both sides of neck has been erupted to form one piece of swelling.

how often exactly get colds?

If you still want to try a homeopathic drug...before child goes for surgery (in Canada....it will be a few weeks before surgeon will be able to take up the case for surgery in view of queue)try following:
BARYTA CARB 6C four times a day
This med requires to be repeated..so let the child take it for some time....first signs of improvement will show up in 3/4 days from starting the course.

if going to use bayta c then single dose sulphur 200c prior to use...or soon into treament --if not availble--the coinciding of vaccinatios and appearance of tonsil condition mentioned is noted...

Giving one dose of Sulphur 200 in addition to Baryta Carb 6C is a good idea.
If you don't have it yet...start with Baryta Carb. When you get Sulphur 200 ...give one dose in the morning....on that day skip Baryta Carb.
Rest of the days keep giving Baryta Carb.

The boy was given Sulphur 200 one dose on Wednesday morning and from Wednesday on, Baryta Carb 6C 4x a day.
On Thursday, the boy complained of sore throat, It subsided on Saturday. There is no any other changes observed.
Please advice.

Belladona is appropriate if pain in throat is on right side, throat is bright red/scarlet red....headache on right side...lips, ears, nose all turn red.
Redness in eyes too. Chances of fever also.
