Throbbing headache, skin eruptions, insomnia

Am a 43 year old Indian married male.
Have been suffering from the following physical symptoms:

PHYSICAL SYMPTOMS: Disturbed sleep, anxiety, frequent spasms in torso and limbs, feeling of being physically pushed, as if there is trembling inside my left arm, a throbbing dull headache at the back of my head, pain in lower part of legs and soles, and pain in hands, fingers, occasional back pain, especially at lower back, stiffness. Also getting pain in eyes. Pain in left hand more pronounced in the forearm and fingers, along with a trembling like effect. Also, as if an electric current is running through my limbs. The area around my nose is reddish and scaly, with whitish discharge problems. This discharge is not dandruff, but itchy and also is pronounced on my scalp.
MIND: My mind is restless, moving from one thought to another. At times, I get anxiety attacks, a feeling of not being able to cope.Although I am doing decently well at work, but feel and am sure I can do better, yet do not push myself to do so. I do tend to have regrets about the past and fears about the future.
Around 7 years ago, I had a health breakdown -severe chest pains at the time of my marriage and was referred to a psychiatrist, who diagnosed me as an inadequate personality type. I am obsessed with perfection, highly irritable.
RELATIONSHIPS: A lot of my relationships with my friends have broken down, as I feel have not invested in them, citing heavy work pressures - which I know is not the sole reason. I rarely do the things I used to enjoy doing - going out, meeting friends etc.I have had no sex for the past few years. Although I admire and love my spouse, who is a very hardworking and sincere person, I am not able to relate to her in many aspects. This leads to disagreements but I by nature am a non assertive and non conflict oriented person, tend not to resolve them and let them linger, causing me more stress. My decision making abilities are not consistent. My sibling has had difficulties in her marriage. My mum is an ageing widow. An I tend to worry about their future a lot. All tests for diabetes, thyroid, brain scans etc. have proved negative. Please advise.

A few of my good points: I am fair, generous and try to do a lot for others. Empathetic, helpful.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Dear Barun,

The symptom that you mention of itchiness with a white discharge around the nose, face area etc. is the key to the medicine that i am suggesting for you.

Would you answer a few more questions? Are you or have you ever been prone to chewing nails or some other similar habbit which basically serves as an outlet for your nervous tension?Do you sweat a lot around your face area? Do you pick or bore your nose often due to itchiness there?

I will tell you the remedy's name after you answer these questions.

Thanks Rajiv for your reply.

Cannot recollect any habit that I have which serves as an outlet to nervousness.
I do not sweat around my face much, as I am mostly indoors. Neither do I bore my nose much, except when necessary. As a child, yes I used to bore nose a lot.

Thanks.

You take Arum Triphyllum 10M, two drops or globules dry on tongue, and then tell me about the change in physical, mental, emotional symptoms in 10-15 days.It will surely help you.

rajiv,

i am not able to get your line of thinking and diagnosis. can you please explain the rubrics involve in this.

patient has provided enough mental and physical symptoms. can we not deal with this in a more conventional way?

rishimba last decade
if we study your case based on the totality of symptoms as to what you have presented, your remedy is as follows.

SULPHUR 200 - one dose per week ( sunday morning )

GELSEMIUM 30 - two doses per day ( except sunday )

come back after 15 days.

Dear Rishimba,

I treated a case exactly like this one with itchiness around nose with white mealy, scurfy exudations and other similar mental, emotional, sleep symptoms. The case did not yield to more usual remedies such as Sulphur, Psorinum etc. This particular skin symptoms is a very rare keynote symptom of Arum as i have confirmed now twice.I think it will help him.

Thanks to the members who have taken a keen interest in my problem.
Pankaj, to answer your questions:

BP is normal
Eyes a bit reddened
Area around nose reddish. Redness increases upon shaving near moustache area.
Headchace more prominent on left hand side - aggravated at night. Not during 6am - noon.Exposure to sun not high. No piles, constipation.

I also get throbbing feeling inside my limbs, esp left arm. Also pain in tailbone area. And spasms in the trunk. And since my soles pain a lot, am unable to walk for long.Sleep highly disturbed. Scratchiness on scalp.

Would await advice, not started on any medication.

Thanks,

Barun.

Take a dose of Sulphur 200..just one dose.

After 48 hours start taking Glonoine 6C four times a day for 2 days.
Give feed back after that.

Pl. send your BP readings taken before start of medication. Did you get an ECG done in the recent past ?

Pent up emotions and un-resolved issues cause physical illness.

Try to discuss matters and listen to other's opinions. Since you say you are a fair person, give the others a chance to do things their way...may be it turns out well ...that way there will be lesser load on you aswell.

Dear Barun,

Even the other symptoms that you mentioned, left sided headache, itching aggravated by shaving in the moustache area, etc. are all covered beautifully by Arum.

I normally do not suggest anything till i am very confident.I leave the choice to you.

All the best.

A very important symptom of Arum Trip is 'constant picking of the nose until it bleeds'.
Do you have it Barun ???

Many medicines cover left sided headache like Selenium, Spigelia etc.....but not throbbing headache. The pulsation in many parts of the body and itchy skin along with throbbing headaches is unique to Glonoine. So also chest pain on left side which manifested seven years back.

Dear John,
I suspect heart problem ..that is why I am asking for BP readings and ECG result.

Wouldn't be surprised if he has 'breathlessness' once in a while .

Yes Sulphur is a pre-requisite...have suggested same.
Thanks,
Pankaj Varma

John,
I am keeping my mind open reg. Rhus Tox applicability (coz. that too has heart symptoms) ...however..throbbing headache and pulsations in the body...are specific to Glon.

That is why I suggested use of Glon only for 2 days...to see response.

Let Barun explain more about himself.

the spasms and trembles--tailbone pain---find tangible reason--if none--then ...better rhus or sulph(low 30c)---if reason as injury--chiropractic treament and arnica--strat treament..

I stick to my prescription with due regards to other forum members.Arum has throbbing left sided headache along with the other symptoms of this case.I have treated and cured a long standing case of twelve years duration with almost the same symptoms including the mental and emotional ones.In this case i am quite sure. But still, it is up to Barun to decide.

Dear Barun,
I dont play the game of 'I am right and you are wrong'..that way the patient suffers.
As it is, not simple to analyse cases thru internet. Who ever speaks with so much confidence is actually dealing in misplaced over-confidence.

You have been shown four choices.

Sulphur is a common denominator as an inter-current med...so take a dose of it. It is a blood purfier.

Then four possibilities:

Gels
Arum Trip
Glon.
Rhus Tox

The order here does not suggest priority. Just placing names of meds 'earliest to latest'

Go to a homeopath in your neighbourood and share this info.

Show all medical reports and get a line of action.

or

In four weeks: try one of the meds each week..see which one works for you.
(By the way ...some guys will scream at this !)

These are the limitations of homeopathic analysis thru internet.

Sometimes the way patients describe symtoms is also not well understood. Physical presence of a patient gives away many signs to a homeopath...not possible here.

It is your life and your health...you have a right to take another opinion on the case.

Best wishes,
Pankaj Varma

Dear Mr.Pankaj,

I am not playing any game here.I am very much concerned about the people to whom i suggest anything. If you look at all of my suggestions on this forum, they come very infrequently. I suggest only when i think i have come close to the crux of the case.I try to practice classical homeopathy, though it is difficult on the net as you say.But it does not mean that when one is sure about something, one keeps quiet just because someone contradicts you.

In this case, it just so happens that i have just treated someone with exact same major symptoms as this one.If i do not suggest what remedy i think may help i am doing injustice to my inner conscience. To take or not to take my or your or anyone else's suggestion is of course up to the patient.

I read one of your posts where you said you love God and love to help people.Same with me.

I agree with you that Sulphur may be a good choice to begin the case as Psora is any way involved in most cases. If it doesn't help then maybe he may try the other suggestions.

RP,

In the four possibilties...one of them is what you suggested.

In your homeopathic work..u may have gone wrong some times. I never claim that my judgement has always been correct. The best of doctors have gone wrong some times.

Each one of us has given reasons for the choice we have made.

The final choice is always that of the patient.

Let us not force ourselves on to him.

Joe is so strongly recommending Arnica for many many ailments.....but that doesnot mean he is right always.

The one who speaks the loudest..not necessarily always right.

For the sake of the patient..may one of us prove to be right.

Best wishes
