Wound in my throat

About 5 days ago I was eating baked chips. They were triangular shaped like Doritos. After I was finished eating them, I felt something in my throat. It didn’t really hurt, it just was a little irritating. I figured it was a piece of chip that was stuck, that I hadn’t swallowed. I drank a good amount of water through the rest of the day and didn’t think about it much.

Now, around 5 or 6 days later, the once irritation has turned into pain. For the first few days, I thought it was still a piece of chip stuck in my throat. However, now I believe there is a cut in my throat. It hurts when I yawn, as it feels like a wound is ripping open in my throat. This morning it was painful to open my mouth wide as my mouth is usually quite dry in the morning. Once I drank a glass of water, opening my mouth was less painful. It has gotten to the point where there is never a time where I do not feel a little irritation and/or pain in this spot.

The spot is not deep in my throat, not really by my atoms apple, but right at the spot where my jaw and neck start to meet. It seems that drinking water, and sucking on cough drops frequently makes me think about it less, but quickly becomes just as painful.

Does this sound like I have some kind of wound, or sore in my throat? What can I do to tend to this?

Bell 6c may help.

2 pellets dissolved on the tongue every 2 hours.

Report response tomorrow.
