Hair Loss - Please Help

Hi,

My mother (age 51 years) has been suffering from hair loss (alocepia) for last 15 years.

The hair fall first started in 1989/90, which result in complete hair loss. As hair is very important part of a woman it was very distressing for her and she stopped going out.

We went to a number of doctors and it was of no use.
We came to know about a skin specialist. We went to him and he started medication. He inject steriod in the scalp of my mother and gave medicine (again steroid). The treatment went on for 2 years. Every visit the doctor was giving steriod injection on the scalp. The medication he gave was of 'Cortigen' group. As a result of the treatment hair growth started and almost all hair came back.

The side effect of the treat was there to be seen also. My mother gained a lot of weight.

After a few years hair started to fall again. We went to a few homeopath doctors they gave medicine which gave temoporary respite.

We heard about Dr. Batra and then we went to them for treatment. For last two years her treatment is going on. When we started the treated there was some improvement (growing of hair in some part of the scalp), like right side, back side and middle of the head. There is no improvement on the left side.
But the problem has been that one time there is growth in hair and after some time there hair falls.
So we are not confident about Dr.Batra's treatment now.

I will state the exact problem now:
1. Hair loss has been in all parts of the head i.e. front, middle, back, right and left. Whenever treatment has been done hari growth has been in all parts except left part.
2. There has been hair loss from eyebrows also. There has not been any growth in eyebrows.
3. Hair loss has occurred in Temple region also.

a) My mother is allergic to Sulphur (We have not done test in last 5 years).
b) She is also allergic to spinach and lefy vegetables.
c) She does not take milk. She has not been taking it right from her childhood. (Though she makes delicious milk based dessert for us :))
d) She keeps thinking/worrying about her children a lot.
e) She keeps worryin about the hair fall.
f) Since last 16 years when her hair fall started she had a few medical treatments:
i)Stone in Gall bladder. She was operated and her Gall bladder was removed.
ii) Stone in Kidney. She was treated for it and her stone got removed.(Lithotripsy was done)

After treatment started with Dr.Batra:
i) She was diagonsed with Arthiritis. Her medication started.
ii) She complained of red rashes on her skin which remained for an hour or two. Rashes were itcy and till the time it remained it was very uncomfortable. When it was brought to notice to Dr.Batra's people they suggested she take one pinch of Sodium bicarbonate in a glass of water for three days. This gave respite from the problem.

The current status of hair is that There are some hairs on the front, middle, right and back side part of the head. There is very very less improvement in left, both the temple and eyebrows. There is hair fall of those hair which have grown after the treatment.

Please help by providing some treatment/your thoughts.

Thanks,
Vicky.

Arnica 30c in the wet dose is the remedy for your mother. She can also use Arnica Q mixed in coconut oil in a 20% emulsion massaged daily into the hair roots to stimulate growth.

Osteo Arthritis can be treated successfully with Rhus Tox 1M in the wet dose with a teaspoonful taken once daily. Hypericum 200c in the wet dose will help the pain and this can be taken every 4 hours.

Please note that both remedies may only be taken in this potency in the wet dose as the dry pellets will aggravate the condition.

All homeopathic remedies are best taken in the wet dose made by inserting 3 pellets of the remedy into a 500ml bottle of spring water which is succussed or shaken hard to bubble from which a teaspoonful which is the dose, is sipped slowly.

The emulsion of the Arnica Q with Coconut oil is made by mixing 10ml with 40ml coconut oil. Olive oil can also be used.

Hi Joe,

Here in India we get in liquid form. What I mean is that when I go to the pharma's shop and ask for arnica 30 liquid I will get arnica 30 liquid. And then I can take this medicine.

Is this the same thing you are talking about.

Thanks,
Vicky.

You are advised to check from your pharmacy if the liquid is Ethanol.

If so this is OK and all you use is just 2 drops in 500ml bottle of spring water.

Hi Joe,

Where can I get spring water. Suppose if I don't get spring water can I use normal water?

Thanks,
Vicky

You can get spring water at your local supermarket. Read the fine type on the label to check if it is really from bore wells deep underground where the water is usualy pure.

Otherwise you may use boiled filtered water.
