Son has night terrors
10 year son with night terrors. Auditory and visual hallucinations at night. Comes in our bed almost every night last couple of months. Hears footsteps (it's the dog), hears sliding glass door opening (they're locked), obsesses about alarm being on. I finally did a house check last night in the middle of the night, when he couldn't sleep even with me, and kept waking up hearing things. All the doors were locked. Dogs in place, alarm on. Told him to wear ear plugs I bought him. I know this is real to him, but I'm at wits end and losing my sleep too. It looks like Calcarea Sulphurica would help. How does one find out the right dosage?Leahsa on 2006-05-22

my son's night terrors were helped tremendously by this remedy! he never awoke at night when he was having them tho and had no memory at all of them in the morning.
he hasn't had a night terror in over a year now.

Yes, the other one that came close was Calcarea Sulphurica. But since he has some ADD, the stramonium seems to be indicated for some of those symptoms as well. He doesn't have fits of rage, but the terror and hypervigilence, seeing ghosts, clinginess (to me), nightmares, fears of evil, delusions of danger--all seem to fit the stramonium. I got the liquid form because he is lactose intolerant. What dosage did you use for your child and how old is he. Feel free to e-mail me directly. I'm desperate and sleep deprived

Just an oppinion: If you are sure he is having delusions/hallucinations and has a Dx of ADHD, I think you are so right about Stramonium. And the dosage to start would be 200c every 7 days.
The average time to expect a change is between 15-28 days.And in time you may need to use a higher dilution, but only if it is the right choice.
