The ABC Homeopathy Forum

extreme itching.

A violent itch has been stalking me for the past four years that mainly consists of tiny red itchy bumps that sting and cry out to be scratched.

It's all over. Head to toe, every part of the body - including head, scalp and face.

I've had a food allergy test, stoped using shower gel/washing powder and have seen two different dermatologists with no luck.
Nothing seems to be working. From Antihistermines to most skin creams on the market.

My skin has turned ultra sensitive and even a slight arm brush past a door frame would result in inflamed skin in the form of scaly red bumpy lines that would
dissapear within 5 mins.

I am still on Antihistermines and it's a living hell.

Any help or suggestions appreciated.

Thanks. Poor Boy.

I don't remember much..it just sort of came on.

it's been 100% consistent for four years.

I was thinking along the lines of scabies but i'm the only member of my household to have this problem.

Sometimes i feel i'm being bitten but there is no visible sign.

There are no white spots on or under my fingernails.

Diet would include several portions of fruit, veg and meat. lots of water. - A pretty healthy diet.

Hair: itchy flakey scalp (dandruff) from constant itching, dark brown, normal.

Sleeping patten is fine if i've taken pills to ease the itch.

No hard drugs, smoking or drinking.

Have had several recent blood tests from dermatologists that have informed me of a slight iron deficiency (which i knew), and have been taking penicillin for around 19 years for Sickle - Beta Thalassaemia.
I'm 20, don't suffer from any pains and haven't done for around 10 years. (Sickle Cell)

I have no other complaints or no peculiar/strange symptom occurrences apart from the bizarre level of sensitivity my skin has reached.

There's been no recent health defects of late apart from a slight ear complaint over a door slam 2 years ago. Ear still feels pretty weird, slight ringing, no damage say doctors.

Before four years ago, i'd never experienced any itching or had any past skin conditions.

The itching is equally consistent throughout the day and gets worse the longer i go without antihistermines. I take Neoclarityn 5mg, once a day.

So all in all, i seem to be in good health.

Hope this helps. Thanks.

please explain the penicilin usage for past 19 years : concerning the symptomology of 'Sickle - Beta Thalassaemia'....

Hi, it's poor boy. Thanks for the reply - I was away.

'Sickle beta thal' is a form of Sickle Cell Desease. This is a blood disorder that effects red cells. My form is 'fairly' mild.

Beacuse of this condition, My spleen was removed at age 5 (Something to do with swelling) - Hence the penicillin dosage.

I'm pretty certain i'm not allergic to it because i once went a year without it (Whilst still itching).

Thanks.

My mom has what sounds like the exact symptoms you describe. She is desperate for a cure! I was wondering if you are still plagued with the violent itch. She has been to 4 dermatologist and two visits to UCSF Dermatology Clinc with no success. Hope to hear from you soon. Thank you.
