OK, now what?
I'm new here, and I am just off of Topomax 200mg per day. It seems to have given me adult thrush my nurse friend just now told me. How do I get rid of it? I have no other symptoms anywhere else, except maybe a bit of tummy upset from this??? (I was taking the above med for control of major Migraines!!) I would much rather eat the hot peppers my mom told me to eat for the headaches instead now!! Thanks! ~LizzieLouLizzieLou on 2006-05-26

First, a sore tongue, I couldn't stand carbonated anything, not even that yummy flavored water. I then, have a slight sore throat, and tummy ache, almost a nausea. The sides of my tongue hurt the worst, like if I could just scrape it?? I almost gagged myself doing almost just that brushing my tongue and teeth last night. I also have felt like I had a ever so slight temp, I am usually around 97.7. Sleepy, and just yucky! Our doctor is a personal friend, so I do have his home phone, he has always said he would rather have me wake him than his service, but...what can I do? I have been taking no meds now, just vitamins 1000C, fish oil, accadopholis (forgive my horrible spellling!!) and B complex, with some cranberry extract, but I really have no extra money to go out and get the GOOD stuff?
Oh, The headaches have been for about 10 years, with progression to 2 major ones a week, with 1 minor I could semi-funtion with. I had given up, really. I have only had what I call 'after event' headaches. It seems after a big event, a birthday party that I have planned, a trip to Buffalo from Syracuse (3 hours) in the wee hours, a funeral?? I get one. I have stopped all, I really do not plan on filling the script he gave me.

OK, Antibiotics...a Z-pack in February 2006 when I had such a nasty sinus infection that I did not know what to do.
I stopped Topomax because my Dr. (I believe) thought that these symptoms (he did not check my tongue or throat)were from Topomax. He did not want me in any more pain.
Topomax I have been told has been used for a wide range of uses...I don't know them all, I have a friend, who has a high functioning autistic son who takes it for something or other.

1 Migraine only. It has been only 5 days.
Sinus infections? No! This one was the first in years and years!
