Baby Eye Infection

- Baby girl is 9 weeks old.
- Left top inner eyelid has had small red patches since birth.
- Has had minor mucus discharge (sleepy bugs) 3-4 time / day since birth.
- 30 hours ago mucus discharge from left eye has increased so that eye is encrusted and will not open easily after sleep.
- Baby is breastfeeding only. Mother developed mastitus and is taking antibiotics (Dicloxacillin 500mg 4x/day). Condition began about 30 hours ago.
- Baby is generally healthy & happy. Smiles often, loves to be held. Cries only when hungry. Breastfeeds every hour or two.
