Panic attacks started about three weeks ago. I took pulsatilla 10M just once two weeks ago. I also take Bach rescue remedy when I get a panic attack.

I moved to the USA two years ago and my lifestyle is very different from what I am used to. I haven't had any serious problems till now.
I had a dental surgery recently and I was really scared about it. I supose this is what triggered the panic attacks.
I got the first panic attack about three weeks ago. I couldn't breath, my head was dizzy, I thought I was going to collapse. A few days later I took the pulsatilla 10M. Since then I feel difficulty breathing most of the time. Sometimes I feel pressure on my chest, I fill my lungs with air but it is like I need more. Sometimes I can't control my breathing, it doesn't come naturally, I feel that I have to breath or otherwise I will stop breathing.
I wake up in the middle of the night and I feel I cannot breath.

what was the exact dental surgery done ? what excat anethstesia used?
how long exactly after surgery did first attack occur?
never had any atacks at all prior to this ?for certain?
what meds prescribed for after surgery ?what dosage taken?what daily dose used?
no pains at al associated with attacks?
think careful--what other changes have been observed since surgery?no matter how seemingly unimportant or unrelated..please explain

hello, I get panic attacks like you describe too. Normally when that happens a person is hyperventilating or having shallow breathing. Thats actually the first level of anxiety attack.
Watch your breath carefully. If you are shallow breathing or even if it seems like not enough air is going in, it really helps to slow down the breathing consciously. Just hold breath for couple of seconds and then take a deap breath. Repeat few times. It will reduce the feeling of pressure on chest.
I ward off panic attacks in this way. Look at other bach remedies too and maybe you find something which is more suitable for your symptoms . Use along with Rescue. I use mimulus (for KNOWN worries).
Also get yourself checked up by doc when getting such an attack. Ask them to monitor your oxygen level.
Usually even during panic attack the oxygen level is pretty good. Mine is usually at 99% (had paramedics do it once, and once did it in doc's office). So, usually not a problem of getting enough oxygen, but the tightness can happen due to hyperventilating and most of the time you are unconcious of that.
Normally the panic attack peak is about 20 mins at the most, so keeping in mind it will be over soon does help. If its too severe or you are too uncomfortable or have a choking feeling dont hesitate to call 911.
If there is a homeopathic med for aleiveating panic attacks I would too be interested in it.
