I have had a bacterial infection 4 times since December. I have ran a course of either amoxicillian or omnicef each time. I currently have an infection and have ran a full course of each. It has not subsided. My doctor (E.N.T.) wants to remove my tonsils, but I do not. He has never swabbed to test what type of infection. I do not have a sore throat but, it burns. It spreads or actually the symptoms will start in my right ear with burning and pressure and spread into my jaw. I do not have a fever. Is there a homeopathic that I can try to get rid of this infection instead of ripping organs that I consider vital to my health out of my body? I have also read about olive leaf but, wonder if it will help if the infection is not common strep? If it does how much should I take?

For gods sake do NOT take antibiotics. MRSA is a near fatal form of Strep -- also known as the 'flesh eating bug'.

There is a recently launched antibiotic for MRSA -- BUT as this was created by an antibiotic it seems only a money making operation!.

I am indeed surprised to learn that you have a suspected Strep infection and that your doctor has not done the standard swab test to identify if the bug is the feared Beta Haemolyticus Streptococcus.

You may like to know that the BHS bacteria is responsible for other major problems in the body like Rheumatic Arthritis, Rheumatic Heart disease and can also affect the Kidneys. It is reputed to activate a auto immune reaction by the body which triggers a self destruction mode.

The drug used if the patient is positive is long active Penicillin which is usually taken daily for about 6 months.

You are advised to get a swab and culture test done ASAP and report your findings for further advice.
