Menstrual Cycle/Menopausal Problems- Please Help!

My menstrual periods have been late and this month, it lasted about 8 days, average flow, then stopped, but now a week later, has returned with a heavier flow of bleeding.

I sometimes feel pressure in lower back female area, have been very irritable and prone to depression and angry outbursts. It's gotten hot weather-wise now and that seems to make things worse as I can't bear excessive heat.

I have been having facial hair growth, have problems sleeping at night due to constant thinking that won't seem to stop, yet I feel fatigued during the days and, when I do get to sleep, that is when I do it, 2-3 hours of sleep. During the night, too many busy thoughts to sleep well.

I can't stand loud noises, don't like too much light, not often but occasionally feel moments of lightheadedness, have moments of mental fogginess and don't want to be around a lot of people and, as a matter of fact, have an aversion to crowds and feel as though I am developing social anxiety. I am a writer, but have trouble keeping focus. I feel like crying a lot of the time, but am unable to cry.

I also have decreased appetite, but when I do eat, I prefer bitter, sour, spicy and cold things.

I am 49 years old, will be 50 years old in five months from now, have been overweight most of my life, but in spite of decreased appetite and less eating have been unable to lose weight, have
joint pain in knees, sometimes buzzing in ears
during the night.

By nature, I have always been an easygoing person who just likes to get along with most people and be peaceful, but now I just do not want to be around too many people and it takes very little to upset me. I have been experiencing a lot of anxiety.
