Desparate - Gerd

Hello all

I was wondering if anyone has been cured from chronic GERD (acid Reflux, esophagistis, ulcers) with remedies other then the Nat Phos/Arnica.

I am loosing hope fast. I so depressed, I feel so sorry for my daughter (21/2), she must think I am so miserable today. I feel so guilty - what kind of mum am I.

I went to a homeopathic doctor, he seemed sincere. He took down a lot of info, about past and present, things that effect me, etc.

He has given me a remedy for my hyperacidity. I do not know what is in it, he said it is a combination. It has 'hyperacid comp (pia)' written on the label. It is a liquid and I have to take 10 drops three times daily - 15mins before or after a meal.

Does this make sense, he seems very sincere and thinks it will take about 6 months to get my body functioning (my stomach) the way it should be. I am so desparate, I feel I will sink into a depression soon, I'm trying to hold back tears as I type. I can't let my baby see me like this.

Please help me if you can, I felt I had to see a Homeopathic Doctor. I stopped the Nat Phos/Arnica when Joe suggested I seek an alternative, and have begun the docs remedy. I haven't taken the allopathic med for two days and my acid reflux has bothered me since yesterday evening. It is quite bad.

I called the Homeopathic doc and he explained that this is called a 'health crisis' and that homeopaths try to limit this as much as posssible, but it is something that happens to the body - are the other homeopaths familiar with this health crisis? I asked if I should take the allopaths, he suggested I could, but I will try to stay oof them.

I just get SO afraid of what is happening to my insides. I don't know if I have Barrets esophagus. My gp insists an endoscopy is not needed.

I just can't understand why I didn't feel the symptoms earlier. I only remember feeling parched in the morning and the reflux if I kept my stomach empty, but I didn't feel burning like this. I felt a pain on the right hand side of m abdomen in December and had it checked out in January. I was diagnosed with ulcer in my duodenum and Gerd.

I wish I listened to the signals my body gave earlier. I hope I live long enough to teach my daughter to learn how to take care of herself.

I am so sorry for going on, I just feel awful, I feel like my heart is breaking with sorrow.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Have you thought about getting back on the Nat Phos 6x? So many people have been helped by it.

You might consider making your own which is so much cheaper too.

Hello all

Thank you or your concern Pat.

It is 12:30am here on the west coast of Canada. I took my second dose of the new remedy from the homeopathic doc I saw late morning today. I took his recommended dose before a light lunch and then before a light dinner. I have also eaten a couple of apples to keep my stomach busy. I feel a liitle relief after the dinner dose. I took a couple of maalox to help things along, so far so good, but you just never know. I will report back on how I feel tomorrow. I prayer and hope I have a good nights sleep with no gerd symptoms.

My throat feels a little better. I just want to feel healthy agian. I want to be happy and I want my mind and soul to have SHANTI (peace).

Good night, I must get some sleep and snuggles from my baby daughter.

Dear Bali:

Were you taking prescription drugs for GERD, such as Nexium or Prevacid? There often is a terrible rebound effect from those drugs when you stop taking them. I've found it has to be done gradually, and even then it can take a couple of weeks before you feel close to normal. I really think those drugs cause some of the symptoms we GERD people complain of.

Hope you get relief soon. This is a depressing disorder, and anxiety makes it much, much worse in my opinion.

I agree with peony. Other people at this site have indicated similiar experiences with GERD medications.

I read on another thread where people have to wean themselves of these medications (that only make it worse) slowly.

Thank you Peony and Pat. I think you are definetly right. I was on pantaloc, but not for very long, perhaps a month in total.

I seem to be a little better today. I don't have the instant burning I felt yesterday morning. I am going to contiue on the remedy the Homeopathic doc has given me here. I feel I can trust it and him. He seems as if he has a plan for my health to return. My husband went with me to see him. My husband is usually a good judge of character. He also didn't let me get to emotional and always bought the subject back to what the 'plan was for my health'. I'm glad the doctor realizes that I have someone else in my team - and he better be accountable.

Well I will be vigilant and stay on the remedy. I will let my husband use the Nat Phos 6X for any stomach upset, as I do not want him following me down this road.

Thank you for listening.

Glad you are feeling better.

Just make sure to give things time to work. Sometimes, we get fast results with some of our symptoms and sometimes things go a little slower.

If you have any concerns or questions always feel free to post them here so you can get other opinions and suggestions.

I hope your homoepath's remedies will help you with your stress because that will certainly help with your GERD.

Take care and let us know how you are doing.
