White raised spots on lip

Hello

I have been told i have a condition called fordyces spots on my lips. I have a cluster of white spots on my top lip and around the corners of my mouth. I have been told medically nothing can be done about this. I had acne for a long time and this started with my acne. I am male, 34 and in good health. I do have outbreaks of acne and sometimes greasy skin. No other part of body is affected. Happened when i was about 17. Can anyone suggesta remedy or cure??

Hi Girilal

I looked up HPV. Seemes to be a sexually transmitted disease. Since i did not engage in sexual activities since i was about 22 and have never done so before this in any shape or form, where did you getthis suggestions. Can you give me the link to the web page?

I'll try your remedy as well.

Thanks

Chahat,

I have these white bumps you speak of also. I recently started looking into it since I had noticed them again in the mirror the other day. I've had them since I can remember. I also have them in my vaginal area which I thought was strange but nonetheless, if you find out what it really is, let me know please. -and vice versa

Hi Lindsey

The only option i had from my dermatologist was to cut out the piece of flesh. These are sebaceous glands which normally reside under the skin but have surfaced for some reason. I have ordered the medication as suggested by Girilal and will keep you posted. If you have any remedies, please let me know.

Hi pelachrum

Yes i bought the antimonium crudum but have not used this yet as i have other issues and would rather have these sorted out first. I did use one dosage and did geta tingly sensation where the spots are but have not tried this since as more than one remedy not recommended. Sorry for the negative response. When i do eventually try this, i will report back.

i also found this Fordyce's Condition is a rare skin condition not the disease that are due to an overgrowth of the sebaceous glands. The condition is found in almost 90 percent of adult men. They may emerge as single lesions or as symmetrical groups of 50. The spots are 2 to 5 mm in diameter. Surrounding tissue is not influenced by the growth of the lesions. These spots can also appear on women. Fordyce granules arise as rice-like, white or yellow-white, asymptomatic papules of 1-3 mm.

A variant of this condition, called as Fordyce's condition causes tiny yellow dots in groups and betimes in sheets on the lips, inside the mouth, and sometimes on the genital skin. A disorder commonly observed in the elderly, characterized by multiple, spherical, reddish to black, elevated lesions rarely over 4 mm in diameter, which usually follow the course of the scrotal veins.

A condition signed by the presence of numerous small yellowish-white granules on the inner surface and border of the lips. Also called Fordyce's disease. No treatment is necessary. The spots are a type of ectopic sebaceous gland, and are not known to be interrelated with any disease or illness and are of cosmetic care only. They are non-infectious and a fully natural presence on the body. TCA chemical peels will also invert sebaceous hyperplasia, but new lesions will occur slowly after treatment.
