Acid Reflex/Gerd

Hi, My name is Doris and I am new to this forum.
I have been having issues with acid ruflux...burning in my chest and throat, constant burping or the need to burp, pressure in my chest. Waking up in the morning and still burping last nites dinner. I am getting an endoscopy on 7/14 but I am very distrustful of Dr's and their medicines.
I have read many of your posts here and would like to try th Nat Phos and the arnica but I am a bit confused. Is Nat Phos short for something else and also when I look up arnica there are 2 items that come up. Which one am I to choose.
This is causing me much distress and anxiety. I am constantly thinking I am having a heart attack. I am taking acifex but would like to stop it as I still feel I have the same symptoms. Please help. Thanks

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I have just read your post of June 29.

I am indeed surprised that none of the other advisors on this forum have replied to it so far even though it is obvious that you were in severe distress and required immediate assistance. The majority of them are aware that I have spearheaded the treatment of GERD with considerable success using Nat Phos 6x and Arnica 30c.

However since you have read the many posts that I have made on this forum on this same subject you know that the remedy is Natrum Phosphoricum which is knows as Nat Phos. The potency you should use for GERD is 6x and you can get it from the ABC store or from any Health food shop in the US. Dose is 2-3 tablets, maximum 4 not over 3 times daily, after meals. You should discover almost immediate relief after you take the first dose after a meal when the food goes down without causing the heartburn that you have been used to for some time.

If you start on the therapy I have suggested immediately you will not require the endoscopy you wish to undergo as they will only discover an advanced state of GERD in your esophagus for which they will prescribe the usual drugs which will only serve to make your condition infinitely worse.

The Arnica 30c will help to rebuild the delicate tissue in your Esophagus which should be badly scarred today as will be seen in an endoscopic study. My experience is that after the Nat Phos helps to stop the regurgitation of food through the lower esophagal sphincter valve into the esophagus, your esophagus should return to normal in about 3 months as long as you are on this combined therapy.

Please observe the following rules:

Do not eat large meals.
Do not drink more than a few sips of water after meals.
Do not sleep for 3 hours after a meal. This is to prevent the food flooding back to the esophagus.
Stop all drugs you are now using for your ailment.

Please remember that this therapy does not constitute an instand fix and you will have to be patient using it daily. After the first few days you are advised to reduce the dosage of the Nat Phos as much as possible and you will enentually discover that you will be able to wean yourself away from it. I would however recommend that you continue with the Arnica which by then I would like you to use the 6c potency and you can use it for life.

Report response in a few days after you start on this therapy.

with the limited information you have given about your problem, the two obvious remedies for you are:

1. CARBO VEG 30C take 3
times a day, morning, noon and evening in empty stomach.
plus

2. NUX VOMICA 30C take 1 time at night just before going to bed.

take the above combination for 7 to 10 days.

you will be cured to a great extent. when you get improvement, taper down the doses to once a day till fully cured.

Joe, thank you for your response. I have started on the Nat phox 6x on 07/06. I also have the arnica 30c but I purchased it in liquid form. Can you please tell me how to make it. I would like to get started on this asap. How wonderful would it be if I didn't have to keep my appt for the the endoscopy later this month. Please let me know. Thanks

All you want is just 2 drops of the liquid remedy which is usually in Ethanol. You insert these 2 drops into a 500ml bottle of spring water and after you shake it hard about 10 times this is the remedy from which you will sip a teaspoonful 3 times daily for the first 2 weeks and twice thereafter.

I will be very surprised if you still have to keep your appointment for your endoscopy which is also invasive and can add to your misery.

Hi Joe, I wanted to give you an update on what is going on with me. I did try the Nat phos and I didn't get much relief. I was still in pain from the acid reflux. I did get the endoscopy and the diagnosis was the following. Small sliding hiatal hernia and a little gatritis. The Dr. also pointed out that when he inserted the tube in me, the muscle LES that protects my esophagus from my stomach contents was completely open.
Fortunately there has been no damage to my esophagus as of yet.
I started taking aciphex 20mg against my will but I don't want to run the risk of causing damage to my insides. I am still in pain. I've lost almost 20lbs in the last couple months. I don't know what else to do. I wish I could say that the aciphex is working but I am still having serious issues. I now have this funny taste in the back of my throat and feel like there is something stuck in my throat. I am scared and would appreaciate any suggestions from you and anyone else that has had to deal with terrible nightmare. Thanks

I note that you have been taking Nat Phos 6x for the last 3 weeks but you did not seem to respond to this remedy in the manner that many others have done.

I was very interested in the results of your endoscopy where you were informed that the Lower Esopnagal Sphincter (LES) was 'open'. I cannot believe that this is the normal manner that your LES is when at rest and it is possible that the endoscope itself may have been responsible for opening it when pressure was exerted to push it down. The LES is a non return valve which prevents gastric juice from entering the esophagus which is usually closed tight in the normal position after food that is eaten is pushed in by peristalsis into the stomach.

Nat Phos 6x has in almost all cases given the patient some relief from GERD symptoms but your case is of some concern to me as it does not seem to have helped you. I regret that I do not know of any other remedy that can help you and all I can advise you is to keep on with the Nat Phos and the Arnica in the hope that there will be a break through soon.
You can take the maximum dosage of Nat Phos 6x which is 4 tablets taken 3 times daily. You can take the Arnica 30c in the wet dose, 1 teaspoonful twice daily.

You may like to remember the following points to help with your problem:

Do not eat large meals or drink more than a few sips of water after a meal. It is essential however that you drink plenty of water either half hour before a meal or 2 hours after.
Eat small meals but often.
Do not let your stomach go hungry when you may discover that you have hunger pains which will indicate that the gastric juice is digesting the mucus lining and attacking the stomach muscle.
Do not lie down for 2 hours after a meal.

I would prefer that you do not use the Aciphex which is a drug new to me at least for some time, till you are satisfied that Homeopathy cannot help you.

I hope that others too will help to solve this case and would welcome their advice.
