New and need advice.
I tried the Remedy Finder and it is confusing. I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction. After I had my child 7 years ago I began experiencing IBS and anxiety problems. I got very nervous and shaky and had hot flashes. This got worse after second child 3 years ago. Now I take armour thyroid but still have low energy, alternating diarrhea and constipation with much bloating and anxiety. I do not sleep well and have vivid dreams. I also have lots of muscles twitches and spasms in hips, neck, and shoulders with sciatica that comes and goes. I am a very fearful person - afraid of having IBS attack in public and not making it to a bathroom. I also get very nervous and jumpy if I feel I am not 'in control'. There aren't any qualified homeopaths where I live and I hope someone can help me please.newellcrew on 2006-07-11

My sister has had a similar experience. She started with IBS, ended up on Armour for her thyroid.
She was cured of IBS by a homeopathic remedy after only two doses. It was Staphysagria with the first single dose at 200c and a second dose at 1M. The reason for this particular remedy was to address her depression as well.
If the professionals on this forum are unable to comment on your post maybe it will at least be a place to start.
One thing to be sure and keep in mind, from my understanding it is important to treat the whole person and not just one symptom, so you will want to research the remedy to make sure it covers as many of your symtoms as possible.
A good place to start your research is the Boericke's HOMEOPATHIC MATERIA MEDICA found on the HOMEOPATHIC INTERNATIONAL website. Or better still, there is a homeopath listed on this site(in the directory look at Homepathic Listings by Region) that will do an online consultation. Maybe you could contact her. Her name is Dr. Alva Irish.
